That will be QUITE enough with the bashing

This is the main rule for this forum. It was posted here before this version of the forum was even open to the public. It's been in place for probably ten years.

If you have problems with any network, please take them somewhere else. This isn't the place for it.

Also, any further self-promotion by network operators or their employees or affiliates is going to result in deletions or bans of various lengths. This is a discussion forum, not a free advertising platform or customer service desk.

Addendum: I have gone through the first 5 or 6 pages of this section and deleted a dozen or so threads that fit the descriptions above. I will be digging deeper into the threads here over the next few days.

If you see any that I've missed, whether bashing or self-promotional, please PM me with the links.

So glad I read this post!
Was browsing this section earlier today and seeing all the negative comments from people nearly drove me away for good. If you have a problem with a network then deal with it in a professional manner. I had an isuue with a network (that shall remain nameless) this morning that frustrated the hell out of me, but instead of wasting my time moaning on a public forum, I picked up the phone, like any normal person, contacted the network and after a short chat everything was sorted!

Common sense people.... I tell my Mrs all the time.. moaning about your problems doesn't help. Deal with it.

Hey Paul, if you need help moderating this section, I can help.
I appreciate the offer, but I don't know you well enough to recommend you for it.

      Manc32,
seeing all the negative comments from people nearly drove me away for good.
You are not the only one who feels that way. It's one of the less-mentioned reasons for Rule #1.

There are a LOT of good people here. Unfortunately, there are also a lot of angry people (the two groups overlap to some degree), and angry people tend to try to dominate conversations.

They're also generally immune to reason.

Great idea and make sure none of the moderators sell products in this niche or are associated with companies that do. Got to keep it honest.

As far as I know, none of us do. However, that would not be any kind of conflict unless there was some sort of uneven application of the rule which favored an associated company.

      THAT ain't happening.

If you have the notion that being a moderator removes privileges the rest of the members have, you may want to reconsider your position.

    Agreed.

If you have something to say, say it directly to the person.

It's not a bad thing to debate with someone, in fact it can be quite healthy and help both parties come to an agreement, but when you are directly bashing the other person.. that's where it gets messy.

I like to debate things quite often, but I try to keep it on the topic, rather than focusing on the person posting the response.

A lot of people do try to contact the source of the problem several times. So reading this rule if this is the case they need to clam up even knowing one simple post that 8 out of 10 times all of a sudden takes them out of hibernation just have to suck it up and get over it, then on top of that are not aloud to forewarn others who are gonna join these networks and most likely get the same treatment.

So if one person only uses the warrior forum reads several guides on how to do PPC and decides to dive right in and spend thousands of dollars that he really couldn't afford anyways and earns a nice amount doing so then gets scammed because say 40 people on this forum knew that company was like that but were not aloud to warn people, is this what we call help and guidance for new affiliates?

take for example #censored network (cause the rule) if you go to the review sites they have them marked as one of the best, However if you do a google search you then pull up several payment issues thanks to forums like this.

Sorry i been a member for a long time, and if it is actually a rule that we are not aloud to protect people then i guess my membership stops here. because what good is help if you do not guide the new people coming into this industry on who to be wary on. So we can teach them how to make the money but not inform them about a network that will never let them see the money.

I really hope i am misreading this rule, however this statement

then i have to be honest unlike most who feel agreeing with you to save face is the right way to go, but if that is what you are saying then what is the point in this forum? People give some help yes but when they get into great detail they are selling a over saturated WSO in attempts to make a few more bucks off that method (Most the time not all) or offering one on one coaching for a ridicules price.

Now i love the warrior forum, been a member for a long time, However if i see someone say wow i just got into #name of network, what is next and i know this network will scam them and i am not aloud to warn them then that does not feel like helping someone to me, and that will make me as bad as the network they joined who scams people for not protecting him, Id rather protect a new affiliate then a poor excuse of a network looking to take advantage of people.

PS. in my time here i personally seen members who got scammed out of a lot of money get it resolved by coming to this very forum, you should be proud you helped that guy get paid for his work not tell them to keep there mouth shut

Anyone who wants to can charge back through paypal, since thats the main payment method here. There shouldnt be any reason why a person cant get a refund through pay pal, if only by 'demanding it" from pay pal in the worse case scenario, providing they can prove they were really scammed and that the issue is indeed legit, not just some imagined slight, or finicky customer.

Much more appropriate than slamming someone here. Most people are slamming based on their personal whims, and not really because they were legitimately scammed. Not always the case , but more often than not.

Many times there is simply just an intention of malice and vendetta.

    Great idea.

Why not also start cleaning up all these poor quality "what is CPC" type threads. They really devalue this place. I see loads in the AdSense sub-forum.

Here you go for an example:

      bqpennell,

I have explained repeatedly why those threads don't belong here. To recap, in the extreme brief: There are too many people who lie about such things, on both sides of the fence. And there are too many people willing to believe the lies and repeat them.

I have taken no side on any of these issues. They simply do not belong in this forum. They never lead to any constructive end.

At the same time, I also warned the network operators not to use this forum as a recruiting/promotional venue. As those threads get reported, I delete them. I also drop in occasionally and go looking for them. I have probably not found all of them, but I'm removing them as I find them.

      Brett,
Why not also start cleaning up all these poor quality "what is CPC" type threads.
Report them and they'll get removed. Usually the posters will, too.

To report them, use the little red triangle to the lower left of the post.

    John,

Different deal. These folks are alleging that a CPA network failed to pay them money that they believe they are owed.

Nothing to do with chargebacks, refunds, or anything like the typical retail transaction.

A little off-topic. But I've noticed a couple of very "legitimate" threads this morning that were deleted. One of them had been up for a long time, the other was new. They were both informative. Why is that?
