POF - Christian Dating

I'm running a campaign on POF - Christian Dating (direct linking) but I'm getting pretty horrible click-throughs and 0 conversions.

I ran an ad I threw together quickly, was eye catching, related to offer, good cta, contrasted with POF colours etc but after 10k impressions my CTR was hovering around 0.06% with no conversions. I wouldn't be that fussed about the CTR if it was converting. I thought this was probably because there was no link between the creative and the offer's landing page.

So I put together something based on the landing page, same faces, colours, solid cta whilst still contrasting etc and I'm now getting just under a 0.04% ctr with no conversions. I've made some tweaks which are running now to try and get this working.

But I'm just wondering if anyones got any ideas? This is obviously a pretty popular niche, could it just be oversaturated so lower ctr? My campaign is super targeted with all the usual stuff as well.

I'm going to keep testing but I just wondered if anyone else is running any Christian dating offers with a similar experience?

If not I'll just keep testing

IMO for an offer like Christian dating and a generic traffic source like pof you need a landing page to presell and bridge the gap between the traffic source and offer

You need a better ad. You have to get a better CTR.

How many ad images have you split tested?

Thanks for the response, I'll bare it in mind if I can't get this working.

Around 10 images. I know, not a huge amount so far. Any words of wisdom when creating ads?

I have a funny feeling that what you mean by super targeted isn't that targeted. If you're just targeting people who mention they are Christian, that isn't that targeted.

      Haha, no it's pretty targeted.

I'm targeting country, age, gender, religion, login count, intent, looking for and browser type...

keep testing different creatives and headlines buddy

i have been testing some angles for a christian offer over the last few days as well and here's what i got
    Image 1357560984-clip-24kb.png
that's already narrowed down from over 30 images/ads.

been running those 4 winners for about 24hrs now and getting a decent 0.196% ctr so far

I've got pretty consistent ctr around .2 in that niche as well, running with 110x80s has worked for me better than banners.

I like religion + intent and call them both out in your ad copy. Certain age groups and gender will work much better than others though, so you need to test it.

I have never bothered with a lander for a niche offer personally, only if I'm sending niche traffic to a general offer but, what ever works eh?

I've had a couple around 0.2% in the first 1k impressions...then they just drop off to like 0.05% again. So frustrating.

Another day of testing and I've had a conversion. I've spent about 20$ and earnt 6$. So -14$ at the moment. I just can't seem to crack the creative. My conversion rates about 5% overall with an EPC of 0.24. Does this sound like a workable campaign if I can crack the creative?

Does anyone have any old creatives that have worked well for them? Obviously, only if they're comfortable with sharing. For inspiration, not copying. Thanks.

this conversion rate is too low for a niche offer, even with directlinking. your ads and images, while trying to achieve a high ctr, should still match the offer landing page, unless you make a lander for your angle. i mean if your ad talks about hot christian girls and have some nice boobs it might achieve high ctr, but when it leads to an offer page with a photo of a middle aged couple with some testimonials about their 5 year happy christian marriage, your clickthroughs will never convert. thats why you need own landers for specific angles or your creatives to kind of match the offer page if directlinking.

i cant show my creatives but i can give you an example from affexpert's pof spy tool:

this is the sort of ad that would convert if you are directlinking to some christian dating offer, but you need to match your targeting to this kind of creative. it ran for 66 days according to the tool, so i guess it was profitable.

you have much more diversity and possible angles with your own landing pages though.

        hope this makes sense.
