Prosper- Do the links look right?

Hi,

Short question to tracking POF campaigns on Prosper.

I got a code for my landing page AND a code for the offer link.
They look like this:

Landing page: http://www.datingoffer.mydomain/?t202id=412&t202kw=

Offer page: http://tracking.mydomain.com/trackin...id=422&t202kw= (tracking.mydomain.com is where Prosper is installed on)

Do these links look right? And do they track all my different campaigns in POF?
I'm kinda scared that I'm not linking to the right offer page so I won´t get the conversions to my account.

Thx!

Yea I also added a code on the landing page.

But do the two links up there for the landing page and the offer look right?

I'm not sure what the offer page link is?

The offer link was given to me by Prosper after I entered the affiliate link.

By the way, another important question: When I upload my ads to get them aproved on POF, will they directly start to be displayed (and burn money) once they're approved or can I start displaying them whenever I want?

Your 'landing page' link looks like the tracking link you would use for a landing page campaign.

Your 'offer page' link looks like the tracking link you would use for a direct linking campaign.

Depending on which one you wanted, these are the tracking links you would use in your ads.

I may not be fully understanding, but it seems that you're thinking of using the 'offer link' on your landing page to link to the offer. Am I right? If that's the case, it won't work correctly.

What you need to do is create a PHP file. Then, on step 6 (the same place you got your landing page code) you'll want to copy the redirect code and paste it into the PHP file. From there, make the links on your landing page go to the PHP file, which will redirect users to the offer.

So I should just use the code I got for the landing page and NOT the one for the offer page? Yes, I wanted to link from the landing page to the offer page with the above offer page link. As far as I can see that the landing page link works because when I visit the site it is shown on Prosper.

I already copied that code and put it on my landing page.
Is that all I have to do (Code on my landing page plus generated landing page link)? But what about the offer page then, should I just use the normal tracking URL (trkur etc.) or how does it work?

    Here is what i did:

#1 Traffic Sources: Add traffic source (POF) and Account. No Pixel.

    #2 Categories: Dating.

#3 Campaigns: Chose Dating, entered campaign name, Entered my affiliate URL plus [[subid]], [[c1]], [[c2]], entered payout, no cloaking

#4 Landing pages: Added simple landing page and gave my URL to the landing page

    #5 Text Ads: Left blank.

#6 Get LP code: Chose Simple Landing Page, chose the landing page I just entered the URL for (Step #4), got the code and copied it directly over the </body> tag on my landing page

#7 Get Links: Chose "Direct Link Setup, or Simple Landing Page Setup", chose my campaign, chose "Landing page" for "method of promotion", chose my landing page and clicked "Generate Tracking Link" (Didn't enter anything for Tracking ID c1 etc)
--> Got one link for the landing page (the first one I put in the thread)

Then, still in #7, chose "Direct Linking" for "Method of promotion" and got another link for my offer page.

... So, should I just use the URL for my landing page and NOT the generated link for my offer page? The code I copied on my landing page is enough? And then I should just use the normal affiliate URL from Peerfly (trkur etc) to link on the landing page to the offer page?

#2 Categories - should be your aff network ie Max Bounty, Neverblue, etc

#6 LP Code - first part correct. second part missing. You need to create a php file (eg join.php) and paste option 1 php or option 2 javascript code into it. Then upload it to where your lp is. then change all your offer links in your landing page to http://www.yourdomain.com/lp/join.php or whatever your lp address is.

#7 Get Links - you only need to genereate the link to your landing page once and that is it. visits and clickthroughs to the offer are getting tracked by the codes you installed in step #6

also, dont forget to add your postback url from step #8 to your offer in your affiliate network dashboard to track conversions. you will need to add subid and payout variables that your network provides to the link as well.

I already gave the postback URL to my network.

But back to #6: The code I copied to my landing page looks something like this:

      <script language="JavaScript" type="text/javascript"> cbr202=Math.random()*10000000000000000;document.wr ite('<scr'+'ipt language="JavaScript" src="http://tracking.mydomain.com/tracking202/static/landing.php?lpip=519&202cb='+cbr202+'" type="text/javascript"></scr' + 'ipt>'); </script>

      Is it right like this?

I also noticed that I forgot to choose option 1 or 2. Which one would you recommend?
And what do I do with it, do I also have to copy it to my landing page?
And I don't see where I get the URL which I should use for linking to the offer page?

It also says "You must have PHP installed on your server"- I dunno if I have. How can I do it? Or is it already installed?

yes, this code goes before your</body> tag

as i said above the code from these options should go in a separate php file you need to create. go with option 1 php code if you are not using any other 3rd party tracking. paste that code into your join.php file and upload the file to your server where your landing page is. then all your offer links in your landing page should link to this file. it will redirect users to your offer.

php will already be installed by your host, dont worry about that

sorry for the stupid question, but just to be sure- so it's IN the body tag, right? between <body> and </body>

is there any specific reason why it has to be called "join"?
so i just put the link to the normal offer (trkur etc) in dreamweaver and if i upload that file all these links will change automatically to that php file?

and i can just use a normal editor file and save it as join.php, right.

yes, in the body. put 1 line above your </body> tag

no, you can call it whatever you want.
create a simple text file on your desktop. call it whatever, for example join.
paste the option one code inside and save, then upload the file to your hosting to the same place where your landing page index file is. rename the file from join.txt to join.php

then in dreamweaver wherever you want to link to your peerfly offer, you put the link to this file (http://www.yourlaningpageaddress.com/join.php) instead of your trkur link. your trkur link is already saved in prosper, at step 3 where you created your campaign you pasted it. your join.php file simply redirects to that link, tracking and cloaking the click in process.
