POF.. found some winners- What now?

Hi,

I got my first POF campaign running and after almost 3 days of testing I found a few winners which got CTRs between 0.1 and 0.15. BUT I have to say that they all got 4,000 impressions so far.
That's why I have questions:

1) Are these 4,000 impressions enough to duplicate the creative?

2) When should I delete creatives? Some of my creatives got 0 clicks in more than 2,000 impressions or 1-2 clicks in 4,000 impressions.

3) What is the next step after finding winners? Duplicating them and run them on the same target group? Or splittest the same creative on different login counts and landing pages for example?

Thx!

Personally 4,000 is a little early for me to make any discussions. What is your conversion rate / EPC looking like for the offer? Are you running a landing page?

    2) When should I delete creatives? Some of my creatives got 0 clicks in more than 2,000 impressions or 1-2 clicks in 4,000 impressions.
I always go 1.5x the offer's payout for lower paying offers like dating and email submits.

How can I calculate the EPC? It doesn't show up in Prosper.

All in all I have 44 clicks now and just 3 conversions.

Yes, I do use a landing page, I first just had one landing page, today I added 2 more to see if they get better CTRs.

What is your offer payout, and how much did you send to get those 44 clicks?

The offer payout is 6,75$ and right now I got 82,973 impressions for all creatives together.

By the way my bidding is 0.63$, maybe that's also too high?! (especially on a Monday afternoon)

Please, I really need some help.

I also just noticed that it increases the traffic a lot when you only put one creative in each campaign (so set up a new campaign for each creative).. do you do that?

I'm worried that as your impression go up your CTR will go down, I would keep testing more creatives to see if you can get that CTR higher

    Higher than 0.1 and 0.15?!

And don't they usually recommend to duplicate a creative if it performs well and/or to run it on other target groups (e.g. login count)?

And btw, any opinion on my bidding?

      aim for at least 0.15%
but it all really depends on your conversion rate. if your creative is profitable at 0.10% then you are all good, but keep in mind that the ctr might drop considerably as you broaden your targeting, especially if you up your login counts and session depth.

so duplicate your winning campaigns for other age groups first and see how that goes.
and keep adding and testing new creatives, your campaign wont last long if you reduce it to 1-2 winner images, as the banner blindness will kick in too soon.

as for the bidding you can only test yourself. try moving up and down and watch the effects.
going higher may increase traffic and ctr, but you will need to calculate how your roi is affected.
going lower may decrease traffic and it may not. you wont know until you try, you might be the only one bidding on this particular combination of targets and might be able to half your bid without any noticeable effects.

At the moment I target 50-100 logins, I was thinking to create another campaign witzh good performing creatives and also promote them to 0-50 logins (with a higher bid I guess).

I'm not sure about that.. my best creative (CTR 0.15) is a banner with a guy on it who's maybe 30-36.. it performs well among the 35-39 years old women (youngest age group I target). If I promote the same one to older women they might just not click because the guy looks to young.

Right now I'm already having a lot of creatives up, the impressions come slowly and to wait for each creative to get like 6000 impressions or though takes money and time..

Yes, but no sense if you can improve your CTR, and no sense if the campaign is not converting well.

Right now your don't have enough impressions to tell.

By the way, I think my images are good. Right now I'm thinking if it might be the ad text. When I log in with my POF user account to see what to competition is doing I always see the same kind of text and headline. Are you going with the flow or are you making up really creative stuff?

So you had conversions, which is good, but are you profitable at the moment?

No.. I've been testing for over 3 days now, I made 27$ and I lost 70$...

Well, how are you managing this? How much are you spending per ad?

At the moment my bidding is at 0.63 and I set up 10 campaigns, all with the same targeting (gender, age, country, relationship status, has kids, religion, login count, browser type) except of the age and the landing page (I have three landing pages and use two different ad copies at the moment).

      1) Females 35-39, LP1: 5 creatives, 1 ad copy (110x80)

      2) Females, 35-39, LP1: 2 creatives, 1 ad copy (110x80)

      3) Females, 35-39, LP1: 3 creatives (310x110 banners)

      4) Females, 35-39, LP2: 5 creatives, 2 ad copies (mix of banners and 110x80)

      5) Females, 35-39, LP3: 5 creatives, 2 ad copies (mix of banners and 110x80)

      6) Females, 40-44, LP1: 4 creatives, 1 ad copy (110x80)

      7) Females, 40-44, LP1: 6 creatives, 2 ad copies (mix of banners and 110x80)

      8) Females, 40-44, LP2: 1 creative, 1 ad copy (110x80)

      9) Females, 45-49, LP1: 6 creatives, 1 ad copy (mix of banners and 110x80)

      10) Females, 45-49, LP3: 1 creative, 1 ad copy (small banner)

I already deleted 3 creatives because they only get 0-1 clicks in 4,000 impressions.

Are you having more luck with the 310x110 banners?

No I haven't had more luck with the banners.. a few of them weren't performing bad, but also a few of the 110x80 ones.

Like everyone said, test more images and take those which work and find others related to them. You can also tweak them with fancy border and effects to bring more attention.

For my budget I think I'm already testing a lot of creatives. I also put a colorful border around some. I'm not sure if I can afford to test more before I see if the others performed well or not.

I found a few that seem to work well. What should I do with them now? Just keep let them running, duplicate them (well, many here said I shouldn't, so I guess not) or let them run on other login counts or target groups? (not age though, as I said, I think it doesn't work to show a banner with a 34 years old guy to women between 40 and 45)

By the way, if I put only one creative in one campaign it gets way more traffic than each creative that is in one campaign with 5 others. How many creatives do you usually put in one campaign?

This is a small side note, but it is related..

I was wondering if Prosper 202 is a good tracking system to use just for building a list and not necessarily promoting CPA offers? I'm not that heavily involved in CPA at the moment and am using StatCounter.com to track the performance of my squeeze pages, but you guys seem to vouch a lot for Prosper.. Any thoughts??
