No success at all with the display network. Any tip?

Hello,

For the past year or so I been using text ads in Google/Bing/etc search network with success.

Lately I started to wonder why I haven't entered the display network image ads as it is there a long time ago and in my mind if it is there for so long it must work for others.

I decided to try it but with exactly 0% success rate so far. I tested it for the same campaigns my text ads work so I have no doubt it is a problem of the landing page.

I don't know yet if it is a problem of the Image ads or is the display network which doesn't work for me.

Does anyone have good experiences with the display network? and with image ads?

I know it MUST work because it is a huge market, I might be wrong targeting or something, so if someone can provide any tip I will deeply appreciate it.

    Without seeing your ads it's really hard to say, what are others doing in your niche?

    Hi all, thanks for you time.

    Originally I was thinking if there were general differences between a text ad in the search network and an ad in the display network.

    Basically my strategy was to use the same targeting method I currently use for my search network ads. My image ads are also basically having the same text in the image than my text ads and both are getting clicks.

    What I see is that I have less control with the display network on were my ads are being displayed or what is the intention of the visitor to the site prior to clicking on my ad.

    Do you usually see good returns from the display network?
    If you do, do you use text ads or image ads for better results?
    Do you target specific sites when using the display network or you select specific sites?
