Facebook and Paypal

Has anyone had problems getting a FB ad account with paypal.

I tried to set up my first ad. It was approved and then started. Then minutes later they stopped it due to suspected fraudulent account activity.

So, I fill out the form and get an email from FB that they are working on it. Then a short time later they suspend the account for possible fraudulent activity. Decision FINAL!

Actually, there was no activity at all - I checked with PayPal.

So, is the lesson not to use PayPal when setting up an account? Perhaps not to try an ad in a country other than your own for your first ad?

I also had problems lately with Facebook and PayPal. I think they better like if you're paying using your Credit Card actually.

I've also tried to contact the support but of course they didn't get back to me. You'd better use a Credit Card in my opinion.

  I'm having a problem with facebook and paypal aswell I keep getting an error when trying to connect my paypal with facebook guess using a card is much less troublesome

They shut you out of the Ad Manager. So you can't even change your payment option. The only thing you can do is create a new account and start over.

The problem with facebook is that you often get the impression that there was not a human involved with looking at your account and denying you. Or, should I say, nobody who is allowed to think.

So, Paypal is a problem. "Hey Mr. Advertiser, we reset your account and recommend a different payment option. Have a nice day." But, no such luck.

Maybe I will try POF for dating offers. But I fear I arrived to late to the party for that.

This is interesting.. I've been using paypal with facebook for a while now with no issues.. did you have a confirmed account with paypal in good standing?

  It was a personal Facebook account that I have had for years. I never advertised before. I created my first FB ad and set up the page to do this, including payment info, today. The internet is replete with similar stories. Most of them have the use of Paypal in common.
