Paid Traffic + CPA ....How much $$ is a good amount to get started?

Hey guys,

I am about to get into paid traffic (probably PPC) and CPA. I am going to finance it by writing articles so I was wondering how much is a good amount to get started with so I know how much I need to write daily. I was thinking $50-60/day should be good when I am just getting started.

BTW before I get started I am going to read extensively on this topic using Books/Videos and I am also going to consult my friend who is successful at this so I am not going into this without first doing my due diligence.

Thanks!

I would say anywhere from $800 - $1000 before you are profitable, as a very rough estimate.

You can't really estimate "per day", because every traffic source is going to spend your money differently.

What where you thinking of starting with?

You can always use free traffic methods.

Yeah, I agree with the others. You mentioned $50-$60/day but you didn't mention your total budget. How long can you sustain losing $50-$60/day?

Reason I ask is because it doesn't necessarily mean that if you decide to budget "x" per day, that you can be profitable after 2 weeks or so. You are going to lose money at first and if you have a budget that can only lose $50-$60/day for a week or two only, then it might be best that you save up a bit more before you start.

  • No more than you can afford to lose :-)

I'd suggest thinking not in terms on putting a lump sum in, but how much can you siphon from your current income, to spend on traffic, on a weekly basis.

Couple hundred bucks/week, and that'll be enough for you to learn the ropes.

Be aware, you may lose money for quite a while until you pick up the hang of buying media to performance goals.

IF you were going to start a new business in the offline world, would you consider $1,000 too much? Be realistic here. What do you really expect?

That is a great way to look at it. It is going to take a while to figure out something that works.

You could start with 50-60 a day, but depending on the traffic source you may not get enough data, just to keep in mind that you will need to allow your campaigns run a while to get enough data. I'd say a $1000 starting budget would be decent to start, then after that runs down then reevaluate.

Yeah you guys are right I think Im going to put aside 3k or so for this purpose before I get started and if I cant make it with that I will have $60 or so a day to spend on this.

IMHO peterklepec, $1,500 could be a good start DEPENDING on how
much you've educated yourself and learned from those already doing it.

If you're completely knew, $1,500 will give you a good, real-world education
and will be more valuable than studying for 3-5 years. BUT, you'll still need
to be able to keep feeding the beast until you have enough tests and data
under your belt to know what's going to work and what doesn't.

If that's your life savings, you're going to be in for a big disappointment if you
can't get your testing to turn into $$$.

      Be careful my friend!

Okay, I'm going to be the one to call bs here. I've started so many campaigns with <$200 when I was starting out with CPA. If you do enough research you can make a profitable campaign with small numbers. I had my first $100 day on a $200 budget and just built up from there.

"This is not a game for the poor" sounds like someone trying to keep others out. I could teach almost anyone to make $10-30 a day with CPA for free easily, acting like it takes thousands for paid traffic is just a lie.

$200 on leadimpact can get you far.

    Hello.

I deleted post cause I read thread of op-kenster, where he reccommend that newbie start on free traffic.

Now Im confused. Kenster is very reputable member here.

But also one thing bothered me.

    Please help :

    - Ive read here, that free traffic is too slow for Cpa Lead marketing, because offers does not exist so long on the cpa networks, they come for a couple of weeks and then they are gone.

    Is this true ?

So, I have 1500$ which I like to spend for startup invested in my online business which I hope will be my full time job after lets say 1 year approximately.

Iam already approved in maxbounty and peerfly.

I have 6 days in week 3 hours of time for IM, and 1 day in a week 8 hours already booked and reserved just for IM.

What do you reccommend me ? How to invest that money and time to start a strong, long term online business ?

There is no one style fits off.

With that said, in general, for many people free traffic is the best to learn the ropes of CPA. If you go into a paid campaign without having a foundation of how to do CPA, you'll get your butt handed to you nearly every time.

Paid traffic is better in my opinion and a much faster way to learn but if you have a limited budget (like many people do), than going into paid right from the start will likely destroy that budget in no time.

Again, different strokes for different folks!

Yes, I understand, thats why I wrote down, that I have 1500€ for the startup capital, and I have never said that this is too much. I am asking you if its enough ?

Right now I am in the process of writing business plan, like William Souza suggest and I think that this is really good reccomendation to start with.

I will be very grateful if someone can give me advice on the few things that I mention 2 posts above.

How much depends on you. Your budget will affect your "velocity" You can start small and reinvest but you will move much slower and need a lot of patience. Most don't have the patience to take that route so they quit a foot from the finish line everytime they attempt it.
