Pay Per Call + Newspapers = $?

I've done some pay per call. Made a little money but I had a real hard time getting volume. I thought about Craigslist and newspapers, but never actually went through with it.

Did never used newspapers for ppc. But I have on my mind to put some offers on flyers and spred it around the city. Dont know if that will work...
Did anyone used yahoo answers for this?

Hope so. Thanks. Some of PPC offer do not allow offline marketing and for that offers I know that will convert for sure. For example this
Find Local Electricians, Find Local Roofers, GetLocalMaid.

I am going to try with:
Auto Insurance, Consolidated Credit Counseling Services, Dental Insurance, Health Insurance.
With 300-400 flyers I can see if there will be any effect.

I bet you will see conversions for sure. just put a lot of emphasize on them calling the number dont try to sell them. The person on the other end of the call will do that.

make sure your offer allows classified ads...because it will be very obvious to the network if they dont allow classified ads and you are sending that type of traffic.

  Passing out flyers is actually a decently converting method to generating call leads, at least for us in the local business arena. Of course, it's a lot of work to distribute flyers so outsourcing this is probably a good idea but to get any profit out of it you have to promote the highest paying offers.
  
  The internet is by far the most profitable way to generate calls. Craigslist is great at this and posting ads only takes a few minutes per day... tons of local businesses actively use CL for their own businesses.. why?.. because it works. So you could do that same. Even one call a day can generate $10-$50 at our network.

You may be better off with the free papers such as the Little Nickle. Very local, weekly and inexpensive to advertise in. Plus, unlike the daily paper they tend to stick around in offices, reception areas and so forth for long periods of time.

I got a great ebook a while back on advertising in these pubs and it would seem pay per call would be ideal for this. You can do network buys and the CPM is pretty low. Some of the CPA offers ought to work very well there!

I did great with pay per call and free traffic sources. But now I am trying to get started with adwords . Advertising on newspapers is a good idea but make sure you read the offer terms and conditions. Anyone knows how to advertise in a US newspaper from outside US?

Yeah I'm complying with all terms. I'm sure it's not too hard. Search some newspapers in a random state and go to advertise>classifieds. - email them to purchase a spot and it should be fine.
