Appropriate Tools to get Started

Hello All,

I am glad that I found this forum and look forward to hearing and share many IM experiences with fellow members.

I was wondering the best way that a newbie can start to acquire knowledge on different methods for Internet Marketing.

I have some knowledge about the different types of marketing like list building, CPA, PPC and etc. but I don't know the mechanics behind them and how to get them started.

The best would be trial & error of course, but this would be a blind crap shoot in the dark, I'm not looking for ideas, just the know-how to get these started.

So any books, ebooks, articles, and etc. discussing the methods on how these different IM techniques work would be very helpful

Kind Regards,
soules

  • There are different sections with discussions and tutorials/guides on each section. Just have a look around.
  • It's good to understand many different areas of Internet marketing, but the best thing to do when you're starting out is to focus on one niche and one traffic source until you master it and start making money. After that you can diversify and grow your business in different areas.

    Best of luck,

  • Be a war room member would give you a good head start. Plenty of good materials there.
  • Let start with this. What is your budget?

    • Thanks for everyone's reply,

      I definitely agree on specialization,

The most effective route building skills and utilizing some of my copywriting skills would probably be good for SEO in landing page + list building

as a budget I currently have $200 but make income from writing articles which I will take and directly invest in building a IM business.

I would also sincerely appreciate partnering with anyone who is looking for a serious and efficient worker to help with parts of your business in exchange for some mentorship

      Thanks !

  • I would recommend you use free traffic sources such as youtube.

$200 isn't enough to get into paid traffic.

Save your money for hosting, auto-responder, and other needed materials.

    • If you need an autorespnder, aweber is definitely they way to go. Only $1 the first month, then $20 after. This will allow you to capture leads, build a list, and respond to them.
  • PPC and CPA are definitely out of the question for now, especially since I want to test the waters in organic SEO

Anyways, just to get my feet wet and actually get in some action I am planning on doing this over the weekend, most probably tomorrow night:

    1) Niche Keyword research: I understand Market Samurai is a great way to do this and they have a free trial
2)Once I find my niche keyword look at CB for high ticket/gratitude items+ amazon + any other relevant items with affiliate programs
3)Design a site using word press, I found some youtube videos on this but they are a bit dated (2010)
    4) Create a free product review with some IM stuff I have learned and offer this with a signup using aWeber
    5) Once the site is done and optimized through some of the ways discussed in youtube videos start writing articles with my keyword in them and post them to aweber, yahoo and etc
6)Get someone on fiverr to do a video for $5 on my product/website and syndicate it around different media websites

    What do you guys think?

Since this is my first time and I want to put some detail into it, I'm guessing it will take me anywhere from 4-5 hours to complete, possibly longer

    Cheers!
