You wait ages to get your Facebook Ad approved? I don't.

I know for a fact that the time web advertisers wait between submitting their ad and getting it approved is one of the most irritating.

Some ad platforms are more irritating than others. For example, Google Adwords is great at getting those ads approved in a snap. However, LeadImpact is a headache at best.

Facebook is pretty bad especially for those starting out. I believe the average wait time is about a day? (correct me if I'm wrong). Personally, I only have to wait 2 - 3 hours (a perk for being a long-time advertiser).

But back to my point. It is a pain having to wait an entire day to get a measly ad approved. And when you wait a day just to see that it was disapproved, you feel like ripping your hair out.

Luckily there is a simple cure. You could have your Facebook Ad approved in 5 - 15 minutes.

Yes, you can have your Facebook Ad approved in as little as 5 minutes.

Whenever you want to have your ad approved quickly you simply set your campaign's daily budget to "$10,000".

Now don't be scared about blowing through $10,000 in a day. Here's why:

1) You won't spend $10,000 anytime soon unless you are targeting all of America.

2) Once your ad is approved, simply change your daily budget to whatever you want it to be.

And... ta-dah! It's as simple as that. This trick should work for all Facebook accounts, regardless of seniority or ad spend.

Why does this work? I'm not sure. Probably because the "$10,000" makes Facebook think you are a serious advertiser so they try to approve you A.S.A.P.

Oh, I forgot to mention. This doesn't always get approval within 15 minutes 100% of the time. Sometimes you end up waiting an hour or so. This happens completely randomly though. For example: you could have 9 out of 10 ads in a single campaign approved in 10 minutes, and have the last ad approved in 1 hour. I have no idea why this happens, but I would always pick the 1 hour wait time over the standard 1 day wait time.

I hope this helped you out! If you liked this post, let me know via the "Thanks" button below.

Feel free to ask me any questions in this thread.

--EDIT--

A friend just sent me an email for a great add-on to this trick.

For those worried about losing too much money due to the HUGE budget, try this:

When creating the ad, in Campaign Schedule, choose a start date that is some hours/days in the future. Now your ad will get approved in the background. Now you can manually return to the ad from the time your ad is approved to the campaign's start date & time and change the campaign daily budget. Along with changing the budget, you can edit the schedule information to "Run campaign continuously starting now" to give your ads the green light.

This is amazing, and again thanks to the friend who sent me the email. Awesome tip for those that want to be in complete control of their FB advertising.

good tip man thanks...have you found any negative backlash from facebook for doing this? Such as looking at you ads more closely...or maybe it's the reverse, they are more lenient. Also, does this still work if your initial bid is well below the suggested bid so as not to blow your whole daily budget?

I haven't had any significant negative or positive reactions from Facebook on this. I guess the daily budget is negligible in the eyes of your account standing.

As for the low initial bid trick, yes you can do that. However, I don't recommend that you do. Why? Well Facebook's ad algorithm puts your ad at the end of the queue whenever it notices a huge change in bid (which then forces you to wait longer before getting impressions/clicks). I don't know this as a fact, just something I deduced from experience.

    Hi Jacob:
So after the ad get approved....do you have manual control when to start the ad...?
Hopefully prior to them starting the ad....then getting word to you ...delayed...that you have been approved....chewing away @ your bank....!

Nice methodology to work on the ad managers greed ( if they have any...or trying to meet internal quota for Wall Street investor/traders...)

Nice tip for all new advertisers.

DO NOT set 10k budget on first ads. They will ban your account.

I haven't, which is why I am a bit skeptical about this ban rumor. I'm personally going to take it with a grain of salt because I can't see why Facebook would want to ban someone for putting a 10,000 spend limit.

I mean, Facebook is bad, but their not THAT bad.

No one wait, My adds get approved after 300 to 500 seconds of creation. Its depend all over their policy. If you voided their rules they will screw your time.

You won't get banned by setting your first ad at $10,000. But it also won't work for a new advertiser to get approved faster. It will work if you've already run a few campaigns previously, and Facebook has never had a problem billing you. It basically just moves you to the front of the line, if you already have an ad account, have run other campaigns before, and Facebook hasn't had a problem billing you.
