Facebook Redirecting or Cloaking

Hey everyone,

I have previously redirected offers with facebook simply for ease of use. We all know how erratic their approvals team is and this was just a way of getting round them with minimum fuss.

I used to submit ads linking to landing page 1, then once they were approved, I'd redirect ads to landing page 2, my preferred choice.

I did this with a simple redirect through my hosting account. Do Facebook track and ban this kind of behaviour these days?

Or is cloaking the offer simply a much better technique, using tools such as CPVlab or equivalents? I've never actually tried cloaking before.

Thanks

It may work for some time. But in the long run you will fail with this method. You should just make an ad which is compliant with their guidelines.

The more I read, the more I'm thinking that this is true. I kept it going for a while before, but got found out in the end.

The thing is that my campaigns were never really dodgy though.

As their ads platform becomes more sophisticated, they'll get better at weeding out people who cross the line.

But as I see ads still very obviously doing this on facebook, I would be interested to see who is still doing this...

For dating, is it better to build your own page instead?

Yes, I agree. Much better, less headache.

With both you are risking a fair bit, to me it's very similar
