I also prefer buysell ads , it is great only when you pick the gold fish in that network .

Leadimpact.com, Trafficvance.com and POF.com

Those aren't media buys. That's CPV (buying on CPM) and CPC

Sitescout is fine but it's mostly aggregated inventory from other places. USe their Adplanner tool and you will see that.

Rubicon and Advertise.com are excellent sources. Valueclick too.

CPM in relation to this post means your buying on a "view" basis. In the case of CPV networks, you are buying popup/popunder traffic on per view basis.

In the case of media buys, you will be buying inventory directly on site on a CPM/CPC (Cpa if you can get them to agree to it) basis. You can also progress into Media Buys on large ad networks, typically on a CPC basis (recommended for beginners) and when you get your metrics down, buy on a CPM basis --- CPM is buying per 1,000 impressions

Christ, I just signed up for leadtraffic and after I made the payment I started to read the conditions which mentioned pop ups etc. How spammy is that, we all know those crazy annoying Popups, mostly it starts after having visited malicious websites, and now I am paying there to show up, seriously OMG.

Oh well let's see what happens, bought $200 or 250 credit. let's hope I get some conversions or at least traffic from it.

Anytime you buy traffic online - it is considered a "media buy".

Doesn't matter if it CPM, CPC, CPL or CPA or whether it's banner ads, pop over/unders, leads, etc.

It's all considered media buying.
