Maxbounty Download - Toolbars converts as Hell !!

Hi i hope you guys doing great
well the title said what i hope for so take it easy on me, i'll explain it all in this thread

well i got this friend from UK who drive a huge traffic to his christian blog like 10k/per day ( some of you will say " it's nothing " but anyway.. )

he's using a wordpress with this theme : Incarnation | a WordPress Church Theme

i wanted to help him to monitize that traffic and use that money for good purpose, so i was searching about something relevant and that converts very well so i searched in Maxbounty offers list and i found a very interesting offer

Offer : Daily Bible Guide for UK 2.50/lead

so i was searching from where those advertiser gain money and i found out that they use a inside system with those toolbar to promot relevant offers to the installer ( client ) + giving daily bible quotes wich is the case of this toolbar

so obviously the visitor should not only download it but install it too

so the offer converts in download + install

but the question is , i can't guarantee that the visitor will keep the toolbar for too long

is it the problem of the publisher or the advertiser that didn't make it good enough ?

cause if it's just about installing the toolbar then i'm pretty sure that i'll kill it like a peice of cake

so what i'm afraid of is that when Maxbounty approve me and i start to promote that offer and have like 30k installs and just few people kept the toolbard, i'll be the one who took the blame , so i just wanted to know if i should work this out from my part or my part ends in the second the toolbard is installed ?

thank you very much WF, i can't find a better place to ask such questions:rolleyes:

Why would you think nobody would use the toolbar?

If someone installs it and they are a real person (no fake signups) then you've done your job. If the tool bar sucks and people uninstall it, then there's nothing you can do about it. But...

The way you are asking this question raises some red flags... You have targeted traffic for an offer that sounds like a good fit, why are you so worried about people uninstalling and not using the tool bar?

Almost sounds like you want to try and incentivize the offer and your worried about getting caught. (If it's non-incentivize).

Just go out there and promote the offer to the site. If you got real people downloading the toolbar and you aren't breaking any rules, who cares? Go out and test it. That's the only way you will know...

I'm not sure of ANYTHING, i was just curious about it, cause i already install it and i didn't like it much and i uninstall it after that's exactly why i said " and if i put myself in the shoes of the visitor " of course there will be real persons (you can't fake 30k installs, can you ? ) , i'll not bother myself to have fake or blackhat signup it's a waste of time i already have the traffic of real person that love to install the toolbar, it was a curious question and i really don't see what i said to make that red flags

Curiousity make a person go deeper and learn more, why hard feelings ?

and yes you are right, taking action is the only way, , it was just a curious question that i had yesterday and i put it before i sleep, that's it

Just give it a test, and talk to your AM about it.

Sounds like you are just over thinking things a lot.

Yeah, it's just because i took a lot of conversion training from a companie who does conversion for big companies like apple and microsoft, so one of the things that i cant forget, is i should put myself in the shoes of the visitor , so that's exactly why , i downloaded the toolbar and install it and really searching every area in that toolbar to make sure that is relevant to the niche but after that i didn't like it, it's a personal thing Yes, but i was curious if i'll not be the only one who'll have that position.

It's a very fine line, if you have people who install it and uninstall it right away, the merchant will likely determine your quality to be poor and you will either get scrubbed hard or removed from the offer..

however if the uninstall rate matches what other publishers are at, then there will not be an issue..

so really its up to both you and the merchant..

Yes i completly agree, what u just said is completely logic, if the advertiser get a very poor quality traffic then he's not gonna make money and i'll not gonna make it too

but i have few questions by curiosity, if the visitor just kept the toolbar for really too long and never use it or so rarely use it but he didn't uninstall it , will it be a poor quality traffic in this case ?

second question : is it the same case for installing a software ? if the visitor download and install the sofware but didn't really use it , it's gonna be bad ?

i'm just curious about what's the system of advertisers

thank you very much and i'm sorry if my questions sounds weird , in the end of the day no one in this earth can fake 30k installs or more.

Toolbars like this generate popups or some other type of advertising. Which would most likely be generated whether the person uses the toolbar or not as long it is installed.

As long as you are generating leads according to the Terms of Service you should get paid for the leads you do generate. I'm really not sure what you have to lose, by running the offer.

The worst that can happen is that you get scrubbed hard or taken off the offer. Set it up and see if it converts, it may not convert as well as you think.

The only concern I would have is that people might look negatively upon your blog for giving them a toolbar that gives them popups.

Yes, you're absolutely right, specially when you talk about pop-ups
i already installed a toolbar to see how it goes and it's so much annoying, they even use redirect to other siteweb i mean what's that ? marketing or hacking ?

i won't go for toolbars no matter what the price is
i prefer to go for softwares, yes almost every software exist suggest you to install a toolbar when you're in process of instalation but at least it's a suggestion not ' doing something behind the scenes without your permission " so i guess i'll go for softwares and hope to find some popular one

          thank you very much

Hey mate, I have this offer as well but at a bit of a higher rate. This traffic source should be fine. You would be surprised at how many of the installs stick for the advertiser. There are more than just this offer that you can promote.

Hit me up on skype and I can show you some stuff.

    Thanks,

sure, i would love too , ( you know everything ) but i'm not sure if i'm gonna go for toolbars , i'm gonna stick with software installs specially after reading a whole lot of horror stories about toolbar and how they react in the operation system, it's very very near to a virus, i mean doing tasks without a permission ?
some people would call it hacking not marketing ! and i'm one of them
if you don't mind , please google bringthesports toolbar and u'll see that it's rated as a malicious file and people should go for a long process to finnaly uninstall it.
