Has anyone had any success on BuySellAds here? From both a publisher and advertiser point of view. I was accepted as a publisher a few days ago and still nothing!

I signed up with them a long while ago, but never had any success -- and my sites get plenty of traffic. Not saying that they don't work... just didn't work for me

From other sites I've looked at that seem to be having some success (based on my *guess* analysis) -- it seems that one has to offer tens of thousands of impressions at < $1.00 CPMs.

If you're not having any luck with them, good alternatives are, of course, Adsense, ValueClick, and Burst.

It depends on your ads... You have to get a high CTR. I only succeeded with one of maybe ten campaigns as I created an AD which 100% fit into the whole picture of the website and it was very attention-grabbing...

BuySellAds is not like regular advertising networks. Here you have direct control on the pricing. However this comes with pros and cons. BuySellAds was designed for SME who do have a marketing team to sell their inventory. Unlike Adsense/Adwords your ad space usually won't sell on its own. They don't do fillers etc. They just list you so advertisers can find you... unless you are effing awsome site it'd be hard to be found and ofcourse your pricing may turn away potential business.

Point is you are selling the ad space yourself. Just using their platform.

It's a huge classified ad site with only one section "website". You have to be right up there to be seen.

I agree you have to be way up there. I figured I'd create an ad unit that's in my footer and charge a load for it. The plan is to make it so that it gets loads of impressions so my site will go further up the listings page but because of its price no one will buy it - i don't want ads on every page.

BuySellAds traffic works great for CPA skin + diet campaigns.

I've used them a bit but not for diet stuff.

    Maybe I'll have another look.

Not for me, some great sites with great traffic but when it comes to paid advertising I would rather stick to PPC and PPV

Never worked for me so I left them. It's difficult to get the right blogs to advertise on to draw any traffic.

I have had success with BuySellAds. You really have to do research on the site you are posting on. Use QuantCast and make sure the people visiting the site you want to post on really also fit your target market. You can get info for gender, age, and income range. You do your home work you can make money with BuySellAds.

BuySellAds is decent if you can find the right sites to advertise on.

I'd say their biggest downfall is that your ad placement choices are very limited. There are only a few niches in which they have enough traffic for you to scale a campaign.

BuySellAds never really got me, and mostly becouse of the limited ad placements as azhuru mentioned.

Update on BSA progress: So i've made 70 USD since I posted this and my site gets around 55k pageviews a month currently. I'm hoping as my site gets more traffic, I'll get more advertisers interested

From an advertiser's point of view BSA is a good network since there are a lot of websites in my niche with good amount of traffic where i can advertise my product and they are cost effective too. From a publisher side, Its all about impression. So more impression to your website means more sales to your ad spot.
