Newbie Q about Media Buying...

Hi guys,

I'm starting to delve a little deeper into this media buying jungle, and interested to see if I could adapt it to my offering.

I run a membership site teaching small (local) business owners on how to use social media to grow their business. Pretty generic to be honest, but huge market is out there for this...

Anyeway, my Q is... Would this type of product be suitable to promote through Media Buying?

I'm hoping to send traffic to a squeeze page (promoting free mini e-course), with an autoresponder selling the monthly membership site.

Anyone had any experience with this?

    Your sales funnel: Autresponder -> e-course -> sale is solid. When done correctly it can be extremely effective.

    Most media buying platforms have a limited inventory that caters to business owners. If you could find the proper inventory, then it is absolutely doable. Overall, I think you'd be having a hard time finding the desired audience via media buys.

    Facebook ads can work for you pretty well. You can target by job position + lots of other targeting parameters that will make it easy to narrow down the perfect audience.

    I've tried this exact site, it didn't work. The market doesn't get it and you can certainly try but it's not a big market at all. They want hands on and calls and 1on1. It doesn't work in a group format. (At least mine didn't).
