If you are going to get a VPS for Internet Marketing, you can need to get one with SSD storage. This is a huge reason of getting a VPS.

Unfortunately, Host Gator doesn't offer this. You need to get one like Beyond Hosting or Liquid Web.

  Yes all Beyond Hosting VPSes do.
  
  At LiquidWeb you need the Storm SSD.

That's a "me too" host, when it comes to VPS. They don't do VPS well at all.
It's not even cheap at HG, so zero reason to use them.
Some better VPS hosts would be Knownhost, EuroVPS, LiquidWeb, MediaTemple, etc.

  It's not & the only time you're going to notice a difference is when you have tons of database intensive reuests. Other than that, your internet connection, the server connection itself or a bunch of junk running on the site is going to be the bottleneck.
  
  Most of the time, it's a placebo effect. Showing a video of two operating systems loading on 2 different computers is no where near the same thing.
  
  The failure rate of SSD drives is also higher. Recovery chances of a failed SSD is also much lower than that of a spindle drive. Personally, redundant RAID arrays with more spindles will always win this war & is what I'd rather have when a raid array goes out.
