Facebook Ads - No impressionsafter 24hours with fairly high bids

Hey all,

My Facebook Ad has been running for nearly 24 hours now and it's not getting any impressions. I've bid towards the higher recommended bid that Facebook suggest but still nothing.

I've increased the bid again to see if that helps.

I can't see that it can be anything else other than the bid can you?

What's your audience size? I've run into this same problem lately when a slightly smaller audiences (50000-200000). I'm not sure whether it's some sort of new algo that tries to predict whether the ad will get clicks or what.

One trick that worked in few of the cases was increasing the daily budget.

      My audience size is 7,400,000.

I've increased the CPC beyond the suggested bid and I seem to be having impressions now. Strange.

Those first CPC estimates are in many cases off by a mile. They usually estimate CPC to be about 30% more than what it is in reality. After few days of running the campaign they are recalculated and much more accurate. It seems in your case it was the other way around

Yeh I've noticed that the estimations dance around a bit.

My CTR is a poor 0.010% but I am testing different images and ad text so it'll improve as a tweak I'm hoping

That is probably why, you have to bid over the suggested bid. It happens sometimes with Facebook.

Thanks, with that data the CPC is anywhere from 0.32-0.47 it keeps fluctuating I hope to improve this as I tweak.
