How are you supposed to use landers? Facebook + CPA

People are saying landing pages work better. I don't get what you are supposed to do on the lander, though. Is it just a simple page that says like click Yes or No to like "Are you 18 or over?" or "Do you live in TX?"

Is it just to build engagement or get an e-mail or something - I don't get it.

Landing page mainly quality your sales speed. if your landing page is good and very close to your selling item, then your sales will rise a lot. for poor landing page and insufficient information or improper presentation of item, real buyers also move to others. so, landing is highly important subject.

It is the page before you link the person to the offer.

The goal of the landing page is to pitch or sell the offer.

It could be as simple as getting the user engaged with some simple clicking or lengthy sales pitch.

Best thing to do is to look at your competition to see what a lander should be and/or what is most likely converting.

Get results from the search engines and some websites in the niche you want to build a campaign in and start clicking on the ads to see the percentages of direct links and landing page pre-sells. You will instantly see the psychology of successful landing pages. You can also use some spy tools to find sites and search engine results of your competitors in particular niches. You can get trials of these tools.

Greedy, Kenster, and WilliamRS have all written about landing pages here in the forum with some great details and recommendations. Split test your campaigns with direct links and landers to see where the performance is also.

It can be whatever you want it to be, typically people use them to collect email addresses and/or presell the visitors on the offer and bridge the gap between your traffic source and the offer

I was curious about that when it comes to building an email list this way. Say for instance im promoting a dating CPA offer on 7search. I create a landing page and on that page i have them input their email address. After they hit submit with their email, do i then forward them to the actual companies landing page or do i just capture their email and then send out a cpa offer later to my email list?

      Thanks

    Hi,
A landing page usually has a free offer on it. Something that is valuable to people in that niche. In order to get the free gift, you have to put your email address in the box. When they put their email address in the box, that person goes on your list.
If you want to pm me, I will show you what a good landing page looks like.

Just posted about this. Landing pages don't necessarily work better. For certain traffic sources they are mandatory.

They are better when it comes to aligning your specific traffic with the sales message that they'll see on the offer page. If they are already aligned, then a lander will generally decrease conversions.
