Does my website violate Google's Adword policy?

Hey Warriors,

I just started this new website: business-gadgets.com and I'm a little concerned about violating Google's policies. A fellow warrior told me it was misleading because it appeared in the same way as a product appears on the website. I did some modifications to the site to make sure the advertisements stood out as much as possible.

I also went on Google Adwords forums and asked pretty much the same question. Only one person responded to post and said that because the ads were aligned with the images above that it violated Google's Policy. The example that Google gives as to the alignment of images to ads is way different then what she stated. Google explains it as if you have an image and directly below it is a text ad that appears to be for the image, but it's not.

I really don't think my ads are misleading at all.

What do you guys think?

Oh yeah, one more thing. The ads that I am talking about are on the front page, about half way down.

I'd ask Google that themselves. Just give them a call or get one of their reps on chat. Thay should be able to point you in the right direction.

That is an amazon bridge page. They won't allow it.

You could tweak it, but it looks like you used a wordpress plugin to pull in products from amazon? (Just guessing).

If you want to run something like that you HAVE to provide unique value to "their users". That means comparing products, offering unique content and helping them make informed decisions. Unfortunately the WP plugin developers make it sound sooooo easy. It is easy to build it, but getting converting traffic is the real part of the game.

You could start with Bing Ads. They are more friendly with things like this.

I've had success marketing a site like this by paying people to post them to their Facebook Fanpages. (Since most aren't making any money. And if they are you can tell. )

The key is to get a lot of viral products/images on your site like ThisIsWhyIAmBroke.com.

Not to sound impolite, but I don't think a "Business Card Filing Cabinet" is going to make anyone go "OMG! That is awesome. I have to share it!" You really need to get things people share. That will get you a lot of free traffic.

Also with your email newsletter, put it in place of the "Business Card Filing Cabinet" spot, so the items can be seen above the fold. That is what I meant in my other post.

Ok I'll give that a shot

Haha I guess you are right, I'll try to put some better products on the site.

      Oh, lol

Thanks so much for your response
