Lead Impact Questions ....

Hey warriors,

So normally I use DirectCPV but I am looking to ad more traffic so I just signed up with Lead Impact but have a few questions ....

There ad size is 800x600 ... but I should create my image 775x400 so the entire image will display - CORRECT???

They are a POP OVER network and initiates immediately upon URL load

Thanks,
Justin

Yes, that is correct. If you make it 800 x 600, it will be cut off.

And even at 775 x 400 leave some room around the edges for good measure.

Yes, you should always make the ad smaller then the ad size, you never know which browser the visitors are using or what toolbars they may have installed

I have some actual measurements taken from a few hundred PPV Spy screen shots.

In brief looks like 770x516 will completely fit in the 800x600 outer dimension window, for the sample browser used.

First it's interesting to note that only a tiny percentage of the sampled campaigns bothered with optimized landing page size, some 95+% are direct linked full size sites with the upper left corner showing.

Of those that used small pages, where there is no Horizontal scroll bar and a dimmed vertical bar (on the browser used by PPC Spy) the available area my imprecise measurement got is about 772x517, subtracting the height of the H-scroll for larger pages the visible area is around 772x498
Some screen grabs had an added footer bar with the message:
"This ad served by KangoBox click to learn more"
reducing the area to more like 772x483
(PPV spy obscured most of the KangoBox messages with a graphic)

(I assume a browser with added toolbars might have a smaller content areas)

Also, remember to make sure that you LP links open in a new window - otherwise, when a visitor clicks on your LP, they will just see the top left corner of the advertisers LP within the popup
