Facebook Likes Are Cheap, But Who Cares?

I've seen so many guides and overly priced FB tools and courses out there now. They all show the same thing, "how to get penny clicks on FB!". Yeah for LIKES. My question is who cares about likes? Are likes really doing anything for you? I can buy 10,000 likes for $5 on fiverr if I wanted to.

Just because someone likes your page doesn't mean they get to see all the posts you make to it. In fact it's like 18% or UNDER that actually see any of your posts on a fan page. So you get a ton of likes and then what?

That's the second part. All these courses never show HOW to make money from the likes. They just say "get them". People, there is a reason you can get likes for $0.01 to $0.02 per like. Want to know why? Likes are crap. FB knows this and they're milking this "like" train to no end.

If you really don't believe me and want to get likes for cheap, go ahead. But at least monetize them somehow. People on FB do buy things, but it's a different beast versus the typical paid traffic sources. Use it wisely.

    In the past 2 weeks I've generated $3,000 in sales from 4 posts on a single Facebook Page of mine. Want to know how? Targeted traffic.

    Sure, you can go buy 10,000 Likes on Fiverr, but obviously those users are not going to convert. They are not targeted at all. If you build up a Facebook Page with targeted users through Facebook Ads then you will have no problem monetizing them. If you can't monetize them it's because you're not providing enough value for them to be engaged.

    Just because someone likes your page doesn't mean they get to see all the posts you make to it. In fact it's like 18% or UNDER that actually see any of your posts on a fan page.
    When was the last time you mailed your list and got a 100% open rate? The better relationship you build with your list the more likely they are to open. The same applies to Facebook Pages. I make 2 high quality posts on each of my Pages every single day. Once in awhile I'll mix in some content to monetize the users (the same way you would with a mailing list), but mostly I try to provide some sort of value.

    The issue is not Facebook Pages or Likes. Building up a large targeted audience takes time, money, and content. Do it right and you can make plenty of money.

    Right the issue is courses and tools being promoted as make money quick gimmicks and touting $0.01 clicks on Facebook. They are for likes and they don't go into any detail on how to monetize them.

    That's my point.

    There's one launched today that is severely overpriced yet everyone and their dog is jumping on it because it pays a large commission to the Jv partner. There are wso's that have better info them about FB ads imho. Or free posts on your blog.

      lol, if we're going to complain about all the various courses and tools that are being marketed as make money quick gimmicks then WF is gonna get rough since that's what 99% of WSOs are

    I couldn't agree more. It's all about monetization...you could have 1,000,000 likes but if you don't know how to make money with all those followers, who cares? You're as good as the person with 10 likes and no monetization skills.

    Buying untargeted likes is just making a number go up on a screen, that's all really. Sure, it might make your page look a bit busier but when people look at your posts it'll look really stupid when none of them are engaging with anything you're posting. It's much better to get targeted followers through Facebook. 1 targeted like is so much more valuable than 100 targeted likes.

      I agree that getting cheap likes is only half the battle, but I would hardly call them worthless. I have a page of around 100,000 fans that I paid a bit over $1000 to build which has produced over $10,000 in income in just four months and I am continuing to monetize the page.

      I'll take all the .01 cent likes I can get.

    I personally use Fan Pages to convert CPA offers. To me honest it's amazing. I cracked 4 figures in 1 day of 1 Fan Page and 1 offer. It still does well for me and to be honest I don't even have a crazy amount of pages. The key part is to build a fan page and be sure you have images which can go viral. Plus have a CPA offer which is relevant to your page. Like you said, not everyone on your page even see's your post, so more importantly is getting images to go viral and get shared. I had an image which was shared over 18,000 times and that lead an audience of over 1,300,000 people. The page had no where near that many people...maybe 50,000 at most if I recall. But 1 image on that page was seen over a million times and it had my affiliate link in it.

    Most people just don't know how to use Fan Pages to it's full potential.

      I always had bad luck with Facebook ads but i know many people who are making big bucks from Facebook ... About pages i have seen people selling pages with thousands of likes for cheap bucks but its all bout targeting how you target ...

      Me and you are on the same page. OP, what a ridiculous post. 1 cents like mean you can add 15,000 people a month to your fan page for $5 a day of advertising.

      Even if only 18% of them see your posts, so what? Build a squeeze page link into 20% of your posts and your mailing list is growing almost completely automatically. If your budget is bigger, then the growth can be much faster.

      Facebook is the King of cheap, targeted ads all from U.S. addresses. You can't really beat it. Plus, there's the viral factor that happens when your posts don't suck.
