I have been trying to run campaigns on Buzzcity since the 14th of August. I have spent $150 trying to figure out this traffic source and only made $75 back. In the next two days the rest of my funds will run out and I will stop using Buzzcity.

I have tried and tried to figure out this traffic source, but it does not seem possible or I am doing something wrong. Most of the campaigns I tried including the Philippines, Thailand, Australia, Switzerland and South Africa got a ton of clicks and no conversions.

Of all the campaigns I tried only two actually made conversions and started to make a profit, but when I would try to scale them up they would lose money from the rapid amount of clicks that were sent to them.

If anyone is having any luck with Buzzcity traffic let me know what you did to get it figured out because I am lost.

Try LeadBolt. Even I will be shifting from Buzzcity to LeadBolt and Admob.

You've spent $150 trying to learn a new traffic, and made back $75...

That is really good start in my opinion, for a traffic source that your are new too.

I agree with Greedy, don't just give up on a traffic source that is making you some sales. I only deal with AdWords and BingAds, but at least there you could easily turn the campaign profitable with negative keywords, throwing away unprofitable keywords, maybe lowering bids and so on.

Now I don't know what possibilities you have to analyze the data that you have so far with Buzzcity, but hopefully you are able to set up some parameters for what kind of traffic you want in the future (more of the kind that has converted for you in the past of course!).

I'll say this now, but not to discourage you.. You probably won't succeed.
You have found success and are already moving. Why?

You spent a small amount of money across multiple offers. I am willing to bet you didn't take the time to optimize them at all. In mobile there are many, many variables to test. Block publishers, day part, phone manufacturers, specific devices, device types, even down to OS version.

If you can reliably give me the above info after running the potential campaign(s) for a minimum of a week straight, Then I will agree its time to move on.

Otherwise, you have already spent money gather the data which is the most important part. You are half way there.. Optimize your stuff, and make your money back now!

I did see that you were able to get some good ROI on Buzzcity traffic. Beside what I have done so far do you know of anything else I could try to scale up the campaigns without loosing a lot of money?

Actually the two I had going that were profitable are the ones I have been working on for two weeks now.
So far I have changed the time the offer was put out, but that did not seem to make a difference.
Than I used Mobpartner conversion tracking information to optimize to the handset and even the operating system of the phone.
I also tried different banners to see if they made a difference or not.
Then once I would get the campaign to the point that it was making money I would try to start scaling and it was like Buzzcity would unleash everything on me.
In fact, each time I did scale I would get no conversions. I could not understand it. For instance today I made a little profit, but I will try to scale the campaign and this will be the 5th time I have done this. I have a feeling the same thing is going to happen, but I will try it.
What else can I try to keep from loosing money each time I scale the campaigns? I saw on another post your were able to get some good ROI on Buzzcity.

This a a bit late reply but, ask them to activate that option, it's not on as default.

Wtf is with their 2 day pending BS, Haven't even started yet and I am already done with them, Sorry IMO when a company is that damn slow they can't be too good, I know funds were taking yet still pending.

Any one know a good alternative for Aus Mobile traffic?

Hate to revive this dead horse, I just want to say. BuzzCity hasn't given me results either. I think I caught them sending bots, I sent 1000 clicks to a quiz style landing page where it just had a banner that hosted the qualifying questionares, I had the swf file stuffed with view count trackers. View count 32, reported click count from BuzzCity: 996
    Conversions 0
    CTR 0

That was round 1, I'll try it a few more times and post the results.
Then I'm going to run the exact same set up in leadbolt, so we all can see more data

    Thanks,

    Roach

So, you have sent mobile traffic to a page which loads a swf?

I just wanna point out, $75 back is great for a new network. yes.

BUT. I have heard of BuzzCity sending tons of bot traffic. While I've never used them myself, I've been told their traffic quality has rapidly declined and they use a ton of bots now.

I've made some money with buzzcity, had 300-400% ROI but got kicked of the offer after 150 leads, different offers always same thing. Traffic is not converting for advertisers, low quality. Didnt try Leadbolt yet...hmm

Thanks everyone for your feedback. I've tried buzzcity a few times now and on my third campaign as we speak. I'm getting a ton of exposure, tons of clicks which always seem to be around the exact same number and a handful of optins...still no sales.

I'm hearing the warnings and after this last campaign if I don't get any results I'll look into leadbolt.

Just quickly though...what sort of training did everyone here receive with regards to setting up autoresponder messages and email campaigns?

I am in Empower Network and they, in my opinion, have the best training available for newbie internet marketers such a myself. Hence my willingness to stick it out with buzzcity for a few campaigns just to make sure, as it could be directly related to my campaigns.
