Reversed Leads from MaxBounty

Has anyone ever had their leads reversed on a network? MaxBounty just reversed 21 of my converted leads from last month which made me lose about $115.00. All of these leads were all from the same day too. I'm pretty frustrated. I didn't even get a notification that this happened. I just saw brackets around my balance.

Maxbounty is as legit as they come, I would say they got their scrub list from advertiser and did what most anyone else would do remove them all from one day instead of tracking down the time and date of each one.

      BQ,

That's what I assumed was going on. But there's also some onesie twosies in the following weeks that were also shaved. I'll ask my PM tomorrow. That just seems like a lot of money to be lost in one week. Does Peerfly do this?

Would you please stop calling it shaving? Newbies read your post and then presume we shave, when in fact we do not. Comments like yours lead to posts like this...

MaxBounty reversing invalid leads at the advertiser's request, which prompts you to accuse us of shaving, is the same as us calling you a fraudster because you have some leads that the advertiser returned as bad. The reality is we're not shaving and you're not fraud... it's just reversals. Reversals happen. It's part of affiliate marketing.

PM me the email address you use for your MB account, I will look into it for you. Hundreds of thousands of leads are generated every month from a horde of affiliates, and thousands are later reversed for a variety of reasons which all revolve around that a lead just wasn't valid for the advertiser. Could be a duplicate. Could be junk data. Could be fraud markers. Could be immediate unsubscribes. Many reasons.

I assume it is duplicate user that is why they reversed it. Maxbounty is one of the best network they won't anyhow reversed lead. Check with your AM

I agree with others that MaxBounty is very reputable, and always have payed on time. I would also ask your AM what happened, and while you are on the line with them might as well ask them for a pay bump for that particular offer. I got my pay bump from about $4 to $5 for an offer this week. Hope this helps.

I would definitely start by chatting with your AM directly. He/She is going to probably be able to give you the most honest and accurate answer(s).

I spoke to my AM and she doesn't know why they reversed my leads. It was 11 leads from one day, then they took 2-3 from three other days. I just don't see how all of those leads could be duplicates. The offer was BE2 Canada.

I also think MaxBounty is good. I didn't mean to imply they weren't.

Agreed, the terminology can be harmful to networks. This is not shaving at all, it's a reversal because the advertiser rejected the leads. It could be for a lot of reasons but to come on a public forum and accuse them of doing something fishy is not right.

It's fine to be frustrated but this should be dealt with internally between you and them imho.

First of all, Everybody who is saying that MaxBounty shaved leads or things like that. Let me get my facts straight!

If MaxBounty wanted to shave then they could have done it without your knowing.

Now those of you who don't know what Lead reversal is then let me tell you what it is in short.

Lead reversal is something which is quite common and happens with many publishers and networks. Leads are reversed when advertiser finds the leads to be bogus, duplicate, wrong information filled, using of restricted traffic source, etc. In that case some advertiser removes those leads and not pays the network for those leads.

So, There is a HUGE difference in Lead Shaving and Leads Reversal.

    Hope it helped

    Regards
    Sam

Like Greedy said it's probably how you worded your ad or landing page. Did you offer an incentive for the offer when it wasn't allowed? That could be a reason why.

      Yes, never an issue here.

I have had lead charged back on other networks, but nothing major at all.

I just don't worry about it too much, and keep moving forward.
