How to start with FB ads?

Hi Warriors,

I have recently read a lot of threads on the Warriors Forum about how people earned lots of money just by using FB advertising and I am thinking of going into it too. My niche market is weight loss and my offer is catered to those who are looking to lose weight without dieting or extreme exercises.

I am thinking about masking my affiliate links by using my main website link to redirect traffic to the affiliated link above. I know most people advise me to collect leads first before sending them to the affiliate site but I would like to split test this offer first by having $100 as an initial investment.

Can anyone who's tried FB advertising give me a quick overview of the dos and don'ts of FB advertising?

Advertise internally, its easier to get approved and cheaper clicks - then use tabs or status's to send to external offer/sites/funnels!

They seem about the same to me. Except that pages on FB can get more opportunity for people to help you share your post etc.

Keep it on there, give them what they want and monetize your page on FB.

(That doesn't mean selling t-shirts either like everyone and their dog does now AND what is most likely going to get your page banned pretty soon now that everyone and their dog uses the exact same company).

It's not every offer that works with every traffic source. I think running a CPS offer like that on a platform like FB with direct linking is something really tough to make profitable.

I'd recommend you to get started with FB using an easier niche such as dating or gaming or creating a more complex/advanced process to promote that offer, possibly something with more intraction that would allow you to gain trust before presenting the users to the offer. A fan page or some kind of list building could be interesting, but wouldn't be very cheap to test.

You offer has a good landing page, so you could try direct linking to it.

But honestly the length of the sales page and the type of the offer is going to likely work best with an e-mail list on Facebook. Since you'll be able to make brand out of the product, pitching it over and over again.

  Yes. It'll find your link to be "spammy" and block it.
  
  I just started looking into fb too and found that you have to iframe your link to get the ad up - before even getting to the approval phase. (see peerfly + fb)
