Stalled CPA Career. Way Forward?

I started CPA 2 months back. After spending the first month with email submit offers and failing to get any conversion I started advertising dating offers on PoF. 3 of the offers were success initially with conversion rate of 15-20%. The conversion rate soon died down but I was still getting >0.18% of CTR on my ads.
Now I am at a crossroads, having invested $350 and earning around $280, I am wondering how to proceed further. Should I stick with CPL and dating ads or should I move to CPS and PPV or PPC or Media Buying

Does anyone have some suggestions for me? It would be nice to study the career progression of a successful CPA marketer.

    I would go back that POF campaign and try to get it profitable.

    Sounds like you are pretty close.

    It isn't a good idea to switch traffic sources just because a campaign doesn't work, jumping around really slow down your learning curve. I would highly suggest stick with POF.

    How does your landing page look for that campaign? Are you using one?

    There could be room for improvement there.

      I am not using a LP since I am promoting CPL of dating websites. I had some profitable days with the offer but now there is just not any conversion any more. Only clicks on the ads.

        Test another offer and get a good landing page build.

        This will make a big difference.

          The offer I was banking on seems dead after 3 days of more than 15 clicks and no conversions.

          I am promoting 2-3 more offers. Got a few conversion with them too. I am testing more banners and animations with them. If the CTR is low it means the creatives need to be improved, if the conversion is low it means the LP needs to be improved or I need to put in a Landing page.

          If I try out a LP should I also try to capture the leads?

      Also, try to run the same offers with other networks and see what numbers you get.

    If it didn't work for you, don't think that the offer isn't worth to promote. Just rinse and repeat the way you promote, the audience you target. You'll be on a profitable side in couple of days.

    the huge problem i see is sheer saturation. Every offer and every and platform has 10,000's promoting it. Very hard.

    Not off the bat, I would stick with pitching the offer.

    You can start building an e-mail list later once you get a regular offer converting.

    Profitable campaigns dont last veeery long, they start to die off. You always need to create fresh ad images/banners, LPs and changing offers. Test Test Test
