Does linking a landing page to a meta refresh (to offer) page hide the landing page?

I have some rather embarrassing landing pages promoting CPS offers and I'm linking to the offer via an HTML page that redirects to the offer page. Can my landing page be found in the referer in this case?

The landing pages are embarrassing, so my problem would be if they in fact could be found in the referer from the meta refresh and serve to humiliate me. Please advise.

Yes, meta refresh is known to leak the referrer.

I don't believe there is a full fledged way to always hide the referrer, you could try a double meta refresh or redirect through https, but I've always been under the impression that now and then the referrer information does go through

Is it necessary to do this? I always wondered what the reason is. Is it so the advertiser doesn't know what you are doing or so other affiliates can't find you in referer logs somewhere?

Sometimes, I don't want the advertiser to know what landing pages I am using.
