Peerfly ever do this to you?

So just to give a quick background I do a ton of commissions every month so I know how things work. I try to stay away from cpa networks since I have heard not so great things but decided hey I am doing well else where lets me dable and if I can get a few things to work I will scale.

So I was approved for an insurance zip submit offer sounds easy to get conversions. My ad was super targeted I sent 25-35 people to it and saw 0 conversions. I thought ok that is weird so I had a friend I know click on my ad fill the zip out and boom they didnt show a conversion. I thought to myself maybe that was once so I had another friend do the same thing and still no conversions.

Then I get an email about you shouldnt do that but I understand im not doing it to get paid I am doing it to show thats its not tracking correctly. They make you feel as if its my fault that its not tracking right. You guys ever have any issues like this? I have heard nothing but good things about peerfly here.

CPA networks and Advertisers have ability to do that, question is who is doing it if its happening. Email/zip submit offers get shaved the most.

I wont show but the emails from peerfly make it out like its my fault the conversions are not showing. I would never send them traffic again.

This is always a tricky situation. You should use their 'conversion tester' or contact your AM immediately if you feel the offer is broken.

      Blitz,

I don't think Peerfly shaves. It's the advertiser doing it and I can bet my last month's commission that I'm correct. Also, I don't think it's a good idea to bash a CPA network, especially a reputable one like Peerfly. I don't think they'll miss your business if you never send them traffic again.

I am sure the conversion tester ALWAYS works until you send real traffic.

It's not always scrubbing, the advertiser may have set out credentials for the lead to fire. For example they may not accept hotmail addresses or certain countries etc - Have you asked Luke?

    Blitz20,

If you say you're not going to use Peerfly because of this you're making a mistake..

They have a lot of god offers that aren't zip and email submits

This is something that happens with every Network in email and zip submits as the advertiser is the one doing the shaving not Peerfly.

So can we ask with what type of networks do you do your commissions..?

    Thanks

That explains a lot . No wonder I wasn't getting conversions on Peerfly with highly targeted traffic. I hate the word "shaving". It's not shaving it's stealing!

      Hi Greedy,

Unfortunately that thread has been deleted. So the general consensus seems to be stay away from email submits. So what should we aim for, this being my first LeadImpact campaign?

I have worked with them before, but on the other end as an advertiser and they have always kept my affiliates happy.... however having said this, there are always some advertisers who think they can outsmart affiliates which is in my opinion a pretty sad thing, since they end up loosing a lot more business than they earn

Shaving is part of the CPA game. No way around it.

I highly doubt its PeerFly doing anything in regards to this. This definitely sounds like an advertiser issue. Advertisers do shave time to time and as someone mentioned above, the lead you are putting through may not meet their specific criteria for what they are looking for. Most of the time from our experience, it could be a few things which include either a tracking issue on the advertiser side (pixel not setup correctly), manual conversion importing done by the network and the stat hasn't been updated yet, or just a simple tracking malfunction in which a pixel fired but it just never made it to the networks side.

Just FYI - email zips are notorious for not converting 100% all the time which is a problem on the advertisers side, not the network. You should really test with more than 1 before coming to a conclusion about a network.
