Leadimpact and Prosper202 SubID (again sorry)

Hi everyone,

I know this has been asked several times before but has anyone actually found a solution for this?
  1. Ive got LeadImpact passing my keywords to Prosper202 correctly so that's all good.
  2. Prosper202 registers all clicks from my landing page so that's all good too.
But as soon as I add target="_blank" to any offer links, LeadImpact loses the SubID.

This only happens with the LeadImapct popup.

If I follow the exact same method using Chrome, Firefox, Explorer etc, I click an offer, it opens in an new windows/tab and the SubID is passed through.

So whats with LeadImapct? Does opening a new window clear all cookies or something?

If that is whats happening, is there a way to pass the SubID through the offer link manually?

Thanks again
Mike

Have you tried contacting your rep at LI? They are really helpful with all that. I remember I had similiar problem with LI and keyword pass through but it was related to them automaticly adding their keyword parameter.

    Thanks,
    Johnny

      Thanks Johnny,

      Ive just submitted a ticket.

While I'm waiting for a reply, has anyone else managed to work this out?

Is this a problem only with Prosper202? I am thinking I could give Bevo Media a try maybe...

      Thanks

I'm a little confused, where are you adding the nofollow and target?

      Hi Chris,

So I have a page with multiple offer's and I add target blank to the link to the corresponding php redirects file.

LeadImpact => landing page => multiple offer page => link to (with target blank) php redirect => CPA offer

      Hope that makes sense.

I think what I need is a way to pass the subid through the links from my offer page.

      Thanks

    Solved

In case anyone else is having this problem...

I was using the %KEYWORD% token at the end of my Prosper202 link and because I had manually added this, I hadn't checked Keyword Pass-Through.

I turned this option on and the SudID's are now passing through.

      Hey Mike,

Glad to hear you resolved this. I was also having this problem with Leadimpact, but the lady I spoke on the phone with told me it was because I had the %KEYWORD% token located twice on my leadimpact links. Example: MyLandingPage.com. She stated that they were canceling each other out and to only use 1, so I did this and it STILL DIDN'T pass SubIds.

She also specifically told me that I DO NOT need to make sure the Keyword PassThrough was NOT checked, but I guess she didn't really know what she was talking about (I could kind of tell over the phone).

I will give this a shot on my future campaigns. Thanks for the heads up!

You have to turn on keyword pass through or it won't pass the Target through.

Yeah....of course that makes sense, but the "support lady" told me that since I'm using the tokens INSTEAD of utilizing the keyword pass through function, which appends the subid with the keyword (?keyword=yourkeyword) the system wouldn't need this checked.

I guess Mike's testimonial, which he already tested, proves otherwise. This is great news as I had this same issue with the token.

    Hi grafx77,

To be honest after thinking I had it sorted, I am still having problems.

It's not as bad, but Im still getting too many dropped click through's and subids.

My new thinking is is might also have to do with needing to use the Advanced Pixel post back in Prosper202 (does anyone has any experience with this...)?

Because I have multiple offers on my offer page, I think the cookie is lost or only counted once when someone clicks away. If they then come back and click a different offer, no subid seems to be set...

Can any one confirm this is what happens?

Would I need to use an unique Advanced Pixel post back with each offer on my offer page in Maxbounty, Peerfly etc? To track all clicks from the landing page?

    Thanks

Ok, but that has nothing to do with LI not passing through your subid, that is a Prosper issue if your pixels aren't always firing. I use an entirely different tracking system.
