POF declined my ads

Currently I have 10 different creatives at POF. 3 creatives were ok but the other 7 were declined by POF team. The reason they gave me was this:
Prohibited Content: Adult related sites/products, 100% free dating site (incl Singlesnet), offers that charge for receiving text msgs (see advertising guidelines for more)
What is the problem with my creatives?

      Not at all. I don't promote porn of stuff like this.

        Adult Dating doesn't relate to porn or nudity alone. Any over sexually dating network could fall into this. That is what you have to watch out for.

        What kind of offer are you using?

            it doesn't make sense why they would approve three of your ads and not the others. it might have something to do with your ad copy. email ben@pof.com for clarification. he's really good at getting back in less than a day. make sure you include your creative IDs with your email.

              My ad copy is fine. They say the site is invalid.
              I did a little test about an hour ago. I copied my campaign with the creatives that were accepted and I've waited for approval. It turns out that even these creatives didn't pass the PoF team. The same creative was declined while the other one was accepted.
              I don't know what to do. I sent an email to POFBen, hopefully he will solve this problem for me.

                Hmm yes, I don't think there should be an issue.

                All can I think of is that POF has an issue with this particular offer for some reason.

            Why would you Ever think that would get approved on POF?
            Keep Everything PG rated with POF, and you are ok.

            If Casual Hookup dating sites are not going to get approved, a site teaching people how to get laid wont as well lol.

            Could you get that approved? Maybe, Like Ben Said WAY aggressive. lol.
            Tone it down a bit.

              I a have similar problems with them my ads also get declined.I have upload 10 pictures so far but they don't want to approve it.Getting same message over and over again.(Prohibited Content: Misleading Content or ad contains an element that could be confused with a POF feature.)
              Did anyone have similar problems i don't know what to do.

                It may be something with your creatives. Either the info there isn't true or the site isn't what the ad says it is.

    Your account has an AD MANAGER, his/her email and phone number are clearly shown on your account. Now, wouldnt that be the best person handle this issue?

    Anyway, POF ads are rejected and accepted all the time. Maybe the AD had pics that were to explicit or the content wasnt appealing to the manager who is responsible for approving the ads. You surely didnt expect to have all the ten approved or did you?

    You need to create more; the more you have out there, the more the possibility of having many approved...

    By the way, since we're talking about disapproved ads...

    Everyone says that boobs/curvy girls and generally "sexy" pictures of ladies are perfect for targeting males, but recently I submitted 20+ such images and all were declined with the following reason:

    "Ads must not contain excessive cleavage, midriffs or nude male torsos"

    The same thing applies to targeting women...How are you supposed to show muscular guys, if nude torsos are not allowed?

    Is it just a matter of re-submitting and hoping another person reviews your ads or there's something else?

    And before you mention anything about excessive, my images were simply women in bikinis or wearing more "open" tops.

      PoF is inconsistent with their approving policy. I'm not sure how many people are involved with the approval process, but some are more lenient than others WRT borderline ad copies.

        It's definitely true.

        I've got a few girls in bikinis with massive cleavage approved, but then you try to submit similar photos and they get rejected...

        I guess you just have to keep submitting more and more photos.

        By the way guys, what would you suggest with regards to copy? It's pretty clear about the images, but what works in the title and description?

          from what i've experienced, you need the standard "join now" verbiage. also, you can't use first person, i.e. "want to clean my gutter?". I've had some pretty risqué stuff approved like showing a girl holding a beaver with the heading, "do you like petting animals?"

          in my experience, sometimes i submit 3-4 times after they reject it.. but i dont change my image/ads ( i feel i dont break tos , nothing wrong with my ads ) .. then approved.. because approval team is not 1 person, so hope your ads reviewed by right person and then approve ur ads

            Thanks but according to Ben, the advertising manager, the site isn't appropriate and it was a mistake to approve the 3 creatives in the first place.
            I also resubmitted 5 times but with no luck.

      Might be because of both. What I would suggest is first increase the cpm and still if you don't get enough impressions then modify your targeting little bit.

      It's important to make the targeting very specific but not to tight. Split test the campaigns and see what happens.
