PPV questions?

Hi folks,

Hope some PPV gurus can help me out here. I'm using Lead Impact.

1 - If someone is bidding on the root domain example.com and they are ranked 1st and I bid on example.com/page.html and I rank 1st for the precise URL, who pops first if someone visits example.com/page.html?

2 - If you find a converting domain, do you guys drill down and find the exact URL's that are converting as appose a to just bidding on the entire domain?

3 - Which are the most common types of LeadImpact popups? The only popups I seem to get come from VidShake and they are 775x520.



Others on here seem to suggest they are 775x400... http://www.warriorforum.com/ad-netwo...opup-size.html

So which is it??

    1) The precise URL pops up first and the other one would pop up only if they open the root domain alone.

    2) It depends, I mostly target root domain in the initial test to get more traffic if that is not a very popular site and based on the results dig inside it.

    3) Leadimpact is having many toolbars and each one is having different pop up size. The reason why we all mention 775x400 is because this is the smallest of the lot. So if you place your CTA button within this size then you are not going to face any trouble.

    The root domain would typically get a pop-up first if they are working their way through the site.

    But if the visitor does go directly to your URL folder, it would really depends on the specific PPV network, that is question I would e-mail your individual network about.

    A lot of the domain folders you may drill down into may get very little traffic, and many times they aren't worth testing. But it never hurts to try.

    I do like to use sub-domains if they are big enough traffic-wise, you can find them for a URL, but using Alexa.com. It even shows how much of the site's traffic each makes up.

    3 - Which are the most common types of LeadImpact popups? The only popups I seem to get come from VidShake and they are 775x520.

    LeadImpact's latest software has produced pop-ups for me with a viewing window as small as 775px by 370px.

    I've used a handful of their toolbars are haven't found anything smaller, so that is the size I shoot for.

    It looks like your first question was answered very well

    For your second, unless it's a very high traffic url I'll normally start with the root domain, then if I find it converts I'll eventually add variations and deep links

    For lead impact, I normally type to optimize most of mine to approx 750x500
