FB ad alternatives??

having a nightmare getting a fresh fb ad account...

i sell fat burners and 'diet' whey protein shakes. I did well from my facebook page but recently got my ad account banned for bending the rules with wording (i know i know! ive learnt my lesson!)

Where do i go from here?? ive dabbled in google adwords and they just weren't effective in my field...cost per click were just too high for the conversion rate.

my facebook fanpage is still live and 'busy' with current customers, i basically need to drive traffic to my fan page as it has lots of positive reviews on there from customer etc which means most visitors are tempted to buy...

where is best to get this traffic from? paid advertising suggestions etc?

  • I would check out 7Search and PPV, they are the only places where you can find legitimate CPC traffic at the prices you may have been received on Facebook.

Most paid traffic sources will be too expensive for Fanpages.

  • I'd try to move to ppv if i were you. Typically most ppv networks are more relaxed than facebook and I've found diet offers can work very well with ppv traffic

    • what is PPV? (sorry im fresh to this lol!)

also, can I get my mrs to set up an fb ad account on the back of her fb profile and point people in the advert to my fan page?
  • If you want to stick with demographic based traffic, I'd say PoF and media buying. However, it seems to me that you're not running regular CPA campaigns like most of us here, I believe you're selling products using a fan page, so your goal would be to generate likes and not leads.

If that's correct, then I believe that viral posts and apps could help (sweepstakes, interactive polls, etc). In terms of paid traffic, I don't think it will be easy. PPV is a bit cheaper than the other traffic sources, so it could be a bet, but I am not sure on how good it will perform.
