16.398% CTR on Facebook Means Dirt Cheap Clicks.

I just fired up a campaign this morning and here's what it's done so far:

The avg cost per click is pretty sweet too.

This is going to an external website, not a like campaign this time.

I love Facebook ads!!!

Moral of the story, target tightly, hit them with what they want and the only thing stopping you from profiting is over thinking and pre judging. Oh and cloaking is NOT necessary to succeed on FB.

Honestly I haven't either except on like campaigns where I can get below a penny.

They're WIDE OPEN right now if you follow their rules and don't try anything weird.

They want to make money and I say make hay while the sun is shining.

I launched more FB campaigns then I have in the previous 6 months. Christmas time is prime time.

How tight do you recommend targeting?

    I agree.

Nice stats, they could crash, and you will still have an amazing campaign LOL!

Great! I am more confident now with fb ads. Your cpc is above industry standard for certain keywords thats why you have good ctr. Not to mention, the message on the ads.

      Hi PPC-Coach,

Quick question - why does the number of clicks differ from
      the 'results' (website clicks)?

      I added 45 x $0.07 and it equals $3.15, not $2.94? Where
does the $2.94 derive from? Just curious.

      Thanks,

      Robert

yes for us, the tighter you target, the cheaper it costs if you really hit on an ad that does well.

For us its about the image too, red border images always do better, and curiosity ads always do the best...to get intrest and to get them clicking.

If you can do that, and tight target things, the results and be just insane.

    Awesome!

I have never seen such a high CTR! I have reached $0.10 CPCs with certain campaigns but $0.06 with a CTR above 16% is just crazy!

Yeah I'm proud of this one. One thing I will say is, this is NOT my first attempt at this. It took 6 campaigns to find this one with such great numbers. I know most guys will only show their all star stats and pretend like it happens everytime, but in reality it does not.

I don't want anyone to think you can just fire up any old campaign and hit these stats. You can't. It's testing, tweaking and optimizing that gets it.

I am new to all of this internet marketing and have been toying with the idea of utilizing facebook for advertising.

      A question if I may.

To advertise on facebook you utilize the Create Advert section or the "Boost Post"?
      {{ DiscussionBoard.errors[8776327].message }}
  • Profile picture of the author PPC-Coach
The boost post is one way but it's not really as effective as their ads. Unless you have a passionate following on a page that you want to target them all. (You can do the same with custom audiences too and lookalike audiences.)

I appreciate the info. So basically the boost post is one way to go, however, and correct me if I'm wrong, the create advert gives me more options as to whom to target ?

Alot of the info on this site is extremely helpful but I am having to sort of read between the lines as to how to utilize it. I think the majority of people on here are making their money from affiliate programs. I on the other hand am trying to build my own advertising clientele and am having to target not only my advertisers, but also the end user that will purchase the advertisers services.

      Thank you for your input.

      Hey,

Awesome CTR & well done on the targeting.

I have always found targeting on FB is a challenge unless you know exactly what your market is doing.

I'm testing a campaign later today with tight targeting in a sub-niche and we'll see how it goes.

      Again, awesome results!

A few questions, which I think all interested:

    - Do you use custom audience?
    - Do you go on impressions or on clicks?
    - What countries do you target?
    - What niche?
    {{ DiscussionBoard.errors[8778763].message }}
  • Profile picture of the author PPC-Coach
    Yes I use custom audiences.

I don't understand what you mean by impressions or clicks?

    This is USA targeting only.

I'm not giving away the niche sorry dude.

Oh and website clicks are clicks to the merchant from FB directly in this case.

Clicks include things like "likes" on the newsfeed ad that I created.

So unless you tell them to CLICK HERE NOW! Most on FB don't. They just like the damn thing and don't actually click it the ad. (Which is fine because I always a fan page attached to these news feed ads as a requirement for the ad).

First, I would like to congratulate you on your successful campaigns. The CTR as you mentioned is just sick with that ratio I can imagine of great ROI. I'm just curios to know what kind of offers are you promoting and also curios to know if you are using the squeeze page, sales page or direct affiliate page as the landing page.

How are you guys getting such cheap clicks on FB?

Is it simply targeting? I've seen people get click costs like this for like campaigns
but you've already said this isn't a like campaign.

Is it to an affiliate offer?

The niches I've tested are $0.40 - $0.90. I'm just curious as I'm really trying to figure
    facebook out.
