Clicks from POF

Currently I'm running PeerFly dating offer on POF. I'm doing split test on different demographics in order to see which demo is more responsive.
Anyway, I found out which one has the higher CTR but yet, with all my clicks so far, It still doesn't converts even once.
I had something like 20 clicks from the campaign but not even one conversion.
I'm using LP that I built because I'm using very unique angel(If this campaign will work out, surely I'll share my angel with you)

Anyway, I was hoping you can advise me what should I do next?

Hope to hear from you,
David.

  • What's your bid at for the campaign? Lower bids result in your advertisement being shown to a group that sees many similar advertisements. A unique angle is good, but still may be hard to convert with lower bids.

Also, if the angle works, don't ever share it with people on here ;P

Also, have you spent the offers payout in advertising? If you haven't I say keep testing. If you have, keep running a little longer but odds you may need to achieve a higher CTR. And of course, it's always possible that the offer just doesn't convert.

  • 20 clicks doesn't tell you much of anything. It could be just a bad time of day/day of week etc.

The most constructive thing to be doing is split testing offers. Try to avoid changing too much until you have some conversion data to work with.
  • might be the offer. is that 20 clicks on POF or 20 clicks on the CPA?

    • All the 20 clicks are from POF, that's what I meant.
My question is should I continue to run traffic to that offer or should I change the offer?

  • cool. Also, try not to jump to any conclusions too soon (the hardest part of AM). The more traffic you have to each offer, the more reliable your info/EPCs will be.

    • Yea, you're right. This is my weakness I guess. It's just I really want this thing to be profitable and sometimes it clouds my judgement. I'll try to implement this tip though.
  • How much have you spent on the campaign so far? 20 clicks is just a start, you need much more to be able to start to make judgements on the campaign. I recommend you let it run longer to get more data

  • I finally checked out the network... I found it odd that they limit what banner size you can use based on your ad spend. That is a shame, since the ad they let you use is a small one.
  • It's not so much the volume of users. So much as it is the saturation of the offers. In a broader sense, the majority of the offers on POF are dating offers.

Yes, POF is the largest free dating site. However, the offer promotion itself is saturated, just about anybody on here who has experience with POF will tell you that.

With that said, that doesn't mean you can't be profitable with it, and don't ever mistake the two to mean the same thing.

However, POF already has some fairly unique targeting. But until they begin to offer things that allow advertisers to target by interests or some form of a "keyword" - Without taking the advanced, difficult route of using the interests by demographic tool , there isn't a lot of room for improvement. There isn't a lot of room for improvement. It's not getting any better or worse, but it encourages us advertisers to find more unique angles in working with POF.

The network may be getting larger but the offers aren't changing.

    • Yea, you're right.
Bottom line, I think you can succeed in any traffic source, depends on how you promote things.
