Well it used to be that highly hyped back in 09-11 but i have not seen any other people promoting or even discussing about CPA through classified ADS.

Is it dead ?

Classified ads... like in your local newspaper? Basically that's just another of saying offline marketing, which I know a lot of networks will not accept.

Offline advertising could be things like billboards, classified ads, radio ads, television ads, handing out flyers, you name it. But the downside is that unless you set up specific URL's for each medium of offline advertising, you'll have no way to verify which are working and which aren't.

At the end of the day, I have to assume offline advertising is still very alive... you just have to be sure that your CPA network finds offline promotion methods as an approved form of traffic.

    Cheers

Seems to be, to me at least. Who looks at these ads?

    Didn't made my self clear.

What i meant was Classified Ad sites like Craiglist / Kijiji / Gumtree and what not

I know most of that is really blacklisted on networks but i have found a working network and they currently endorse those kind of promotions on some offers.
So i was wondering is it really worth the time to promote on those certain classified ads websites.

I would say yes, these are mostly dead. You can't really put an ad up on Craiglist with a CPA offer that isn't 100% legitimate without being considered spam nowadays. You'd get maybe 15 minutes of air time before it gets pulled I'd say.

I have personally never heard of both Kijiji and Gumtree so I can't speak to them. Perhaps there is an opportunity for success within these.

Some offers do endorse this type of promotion and there are others that don't mind as long as its been tested already or if you are willing to conduct a small test to determine quality. We've heard both positive and negative results with classified sites however it all depends on the offer you are pushing. We currently have an advertiser who doesn't mind Craigslist traffic on one of their offers and states quality is actually pretty decent when its been used with their other affiliates.

Its certainly not a waste of time to at least test with given that you are allowed to use this specific traffic source. Some offers do convert very well, examples: biz opps, surveys.

I don't do it because CPA Networks don't allow classified traffic, so they tend to ban you without pay if you get caught. Also most classified networks can be extremely hard to keep ads up on.

What traffic? There is noway for them to track Newspaper Traffic, NO WAY, people just taping Address in the address bar and it redirects to the offer, So referral is your lander page or redirecting Domain, where the heck traffic came from? Noway of telling, Especially if this is PayPerCall offer. The only way they can find out that you are interfering with TM term on Search, because Owners of the product themselves are reporting this. I don't see why Newspaper Traffic would Convert less then any Other. Newspaper have much more Authority/TRUST then INTERNET, so? traffic would probably converts better for the CPA Network itself, that's all they care about. NO TM and in Search everything else is Untraceable. IMHO.

Well, it is quite clear that this method will not work and it is not even allowed by CPA network.

    All the best. Regards.
