Fb Ads: How many different ads did you test before you started getting a positive ROI?

I'm just curious. Approximately how many different ads did you test before you started getting a positive ROI on a regular basis?
Thanks.

    definitely around 100 ads.

Facebook traffic works, though it takes some time and testing. Trial and error is key.

Basically I was playing around with pictures a lot and split-testing my campaigns. Don't focus on the ad text so much though. It is the picture that determines the ROI of your campaign.

Until my ROI positive it could take anywhere from 20 to 400 ads, depending on the network clearly.

It really depends on your skill level, and your natural creativity. Also luck and your eye for campaigns has A LOT to do with it in terms of how fast you can be successful.

I was never a fast learner, but I got there.

I normally start with at least 25-50 ads, so it can easily be this amount if not much more..

I'm just getting into the paid marketing game, nervous!!!

Do you guys mean 25-50 adds+ for one offer? How much do you set aside for this trial?

What site do you use to find your images for the adds and landing pages?

    Cheers

This is impossible to answer accurately. Every campaign can be different. You can do 20 different ad copies, 20 different landing pages, and 1000 images and never get a campaign profitable.

    I'll start with 3 ad copies and 50 - 100 images.

I'm constantly A/B/C split testing those ad copies, so when 1 does okay, and the other 2 fail, I'll replace them with different ad copies with the images I've tested so far with the highest CTRs. I might do this through 20+ different ad copies making the changes smaller and smaller as I go. At that point you might have a couple strong copies at which point you start optimizing other parts of your campaign.

In the end though I've had campaigns that get lucky with 1 tested ad, and campaigns with 50 ads, 100 ads, 2000 ads, so on and so forth and many that never went profitable.
