Long story short, I received a 500k active untouched email list. What's the best ESP to handle this type of volume for CPA offer emails?

This is your only problem. Any reputable email provider is going to ask where you got said list, and how. I know you didn't elaborate here, but if you bought it, or just had it given to you, chances are companies like Aweber won't touch it because it becomes too much of a liability for them.

In the event they do accept said list, again, any reputable provider is going to require you to have that whole list opt-in again. If you don't know their niche, or how they got onto your list, this may prove difficult to convince them all to re-join.

Having said all of this, Aweber is typically referred to as the "go-to" email provider for internet marketing purposes.

    Cheers,
    Ben

I know how everyone got on the list, the niche it's in, and I can verify how people got on the list to begin with. It was all opt-in people. Without getting into too much detail, the list is very legit.

I was looking at Aweber and Getresponse. I am just trying to figure out who can handle the emails the best with delivery for a higher type of volume.

Assuming the list is legit, (My spidey senses are tingling - Did the people on the list opt in to receive emails from you or your company?) a list that size would not be allowed on GetResponse' retail platform. When a lists is over 100K they are transitioned to GetResponse 360 and placed on a dedicated server.

For any dedicated server you'll need to allow time to warm up the ip addresses and get the server white listed.

        Cheers,

        Mick

You might call both. Because 500K is well beyond a typical list size, most companies will require a custom quote for a list of that size.

Off the top of my head, I heard of Mandrill by Mailchimp. Big time affiliates that send millions of emails per month use these types of services. Hope that helps.

Be careful with Mailchimp... they have a reputation amongst internet marketers for likening our methods to spam far too easily which will get you banned, list and all.
