Possible to start CPA without spending a dime? Just curious..

A lot of people will recommend PPV to you. It's a fantastic traffic source but in my opinion you should have a basic knowledge of how PPC works first.

Scaling can mean spending more on a campaign, or spreading that campaign to different traffic networks, traffic types, different streams, markets. Just about anything to get more traffic, more leads or sales or whatever it might be.

A campaign just means an ad campaign - typically targeted towards converting somebody for one specific offer (Often times people will rotate offers for traffic all directed/interested in the same niche).

When "testing" a campaign people are essentially keeping an eye on it, eliminating keywords that don't convert, adding some that might - "fine tuning" the campaign if you will. That's not to say it's a minute amount of money. Many people test 1-2x the offers payout but often times a decent testing budget for a campaign is $100-$200 and more depending on traffic source, niche, offer, etc. Regardless, they're also testing to see if it converts - there's so many variables that it's not uncommon to have 3-4 campaigns that don't convert before you find a successful one.

Having said that, it's a little luck, a little experience, and a lot of work. It's not as simple as just setting up a campaign and see if it's working or not. Before you do anything, make sure you know how to use tracking software to see which keywords are converting and which aren't. If I were you I would get setup with one of Peerfly's email submit offers with some tracking software on a 7search campaign. Get a feel for how PPC works before you move into anything else. Whatever you do though, don't skip out on the tracking software. It's one of the most important pieces of the process.

In regards to promoting on youtube, free traffic can be great, but eventually you're going to want to get into paid traffic. The saying "you have to spend money to make money" is so true - especially in internet marketing. With that said, you also need to pay attention to the rules about how Peerfly offers are allowed to be promoted - A lot of them usually won't accept traffic like that. There are other networks that you can use to promote products with youtube. You have plenty of options!

It's very important that you do the necessary research before starting this, but also make sure that you actually get into it and get your feet wet and really get a feel for the process.
