PPV Example Campaign I ran for MMO Games Traffic

Here is a campaign I have been testing over the past 2 weeks. Been looking for good converting targets and found a few. I have moved on from this campaign but if anyone want the idea check the images bellow.

The idea is to get the gamer through the opt-in lander to the games lander and follow up with auto res-ponder messages.

If you can get an opt-in that costs 0.15c, that would be 10 pops and get at-least 1 conversion per lead in 7 days of email follow ups you could potential multiply your money by 10X. Meaning $15 worth of traffic would bring in $150 of leads on the cpa networks.

These are the initial landers I split tested:

And here is the following page:

Hope this helps

      Hey Chris,

I use xenu link sleuth to find targets within a domain, such as sites related like mmorpg.com/ and then test and see which sections of the sites convert well.

In case anyone missed it. "in 7 days of email follow ups you could potential multiply your money by 10X". This is super important and something I utilize as well! Great tip. This could mean the difference between a positive ROI and negative one.

also what program are you using? I have never heard of xenu?

      Hey mediamarket,

Xenu is a link checker for checking working links on websites.

It also comes in handy for scraping internal domain links for ppv.

Building lists for MMOs are cheap, but I've found that they A) don't stick around very long, B) hardly check/open their emails, C) Rarely convert through email. The problem with most gamers is they lack a decent attention span, so they game hop a lot. This is true with gamers and emailing campaigns.

1 lead per opt in is highly optimistic. You're looking closer to a 10-20% opt-in rate, and a 10-20% (if even) conversion rate from the follow up page and the emails, to be more realistic. This is still profitable, but not 1000% ROI profitable.

Gaming has been a core niche of mine for years now, and for lists like this to work, you can't be too broad with it. You have to tighten down and deliver to people that really want the kind of game you are serving.

I think I just had a lightbulb moment!
I currently make 90% of my income from niche sites that get 100% of my traffic from Google... I hate it. I check my traffic probably 25-50 times per day in fear of some algo change that puts me out of business.
Anyway, I'm ready to learn paid traffic, and it sounds like PPV can be quite lucrative?

Let's see if I understand this correctly.

So in this case your lander isn't sending people to a specific offer, you are instead capturing an email address then sending them to a multiple offer page (wall?). Then following up with an email series that presents multiple related offers? This makes so much more sense to me then a pop-up that simply pitches one offer.

Is this common practice in the PPV world? I feel like the dots have just been connected for me and I'm fired up to give it a try!

      Glad to hear,

You could also add an opt-in form to your niche websites for a free newsletter if you wanted to capture and market to the customers that visiting your websites.

This is pretty common place in ppv if you want to build a long term business.
