My First PPV Venture - Let's See How It Turns Out.

Hi guys! So, i decided to give ppv a shot since i find it very exciting, i love testing and comming up with unique angles.

Anyways, i got my mediatraffic account approved, got "Landing Page Genious" setup with "Prosper202" and bought access to "Box Of Ads" anyways, i started looking around BOA for campaigns that were getting high volumes of traffic in the gaming niche. And i quickly found that most of the gaming landing pages were survey type pages with a few questions like "are you a boy or a girl?", "what is your fighting style?" and so on.

So i decided that there had to be something to these kind of landing pages. So i created one for a gaming offer (Converts On First Page Submit) that pays 2.55 USD.

Now, for targets i grabbed some of the targets people were using on landing pages in the gaming niche.

Researched those targets on Quantcast and found some more from that.

I added them to my campaign and submitted it for approval.

now unfortunatley i had to remove the audio i had on my landing page since mediatraffic dosen't allow that (it was a male voice asking the same questions matching the one i give the visitor on the landing page, and some dramatic music)

after i removed the audio, it got approved and i started recieving traffic.

i spent 4 bucks on it, got 217 views on the landing page, but only 9 clicks to the actual offer page of which none converted.

Now my question is if i should continue spending money on this campaign or what should i do?

if someone could help me i would love them to death! and would love to share the landing page with them so they can have a look at it for themselves.

I will never give up on this, i am already working on another angle for a landing page, and applying for other cpa networks to test other gaming offers, but would still love your critique.

thanks!

PS: My Testing Budget is around 10k so i have plenty to burn.

You need to let the campaign run much longer to get an idea, you don't have enough data yet. I'd say you need to spend at least $20 to start getting an idea. With that being said , keep an eye on the targets and if you spent more on the target than the offer pays, pause it.

4$ is not enough to test it and getting 4% CTR isn't that bad for a first test but def. possible to increase it.

What about the statement everyone is saying: spending 1-1.5x the offer payout? Spending $20 on a $2 offer doesnt fit into that opinion.

i think that might be on every target you spend 1 - 1.5x.

Because let's say you spend 3 bucks on a 2 bucks offer.

but only 0.30 across 10 different urls.

then that campaign could potentially still be made profitable if some of the urls started converting later on, by removing the none converting ones, and keeping the ones that converts later on.

    Seems like a good plan.
