probably you could start reading some threads in here about the best traffic sources and good CPA networks to get your feet wet, on my opinion there is no know-it-all curse or tutorial, on the paid advertising business a big part of it is TESTING, you cannot possibly know whats going to work tomorrow, ugly banners and LPs make a killing on some verticals, its all about being creative, dont be afraid to spend money to get data and work your ass off

i was planning to use PPC adwords or facebook to drive traffic.

Adwords unfortunately bans CPA and affiliate marketers in a drop of a hat. It is great network though, it has a lot of volume. Maybe test it for some small business side project sometime.

Facebook Ads is a good but can hard for newbies since it is hard to get your ads approved. So instead of learning how to make good ads and learning fundamentals of CPA marketing, you'll also have to spend time learning how to get your ads approved on Facebook.

For beginners I always recommend the PPC Networks Bing Ads, and 7Search... OR ...the PPV networks LeadImpact, TrafficVance, and 50OnRed. Plenty of Fish is another option.

  I second the suggestion to gain all the free info you can before investing in a course. But if you are dead set on buying a course, just be sure the instructor, coach, author of the course, etc., has a proven track record of success themselves.
  
  Lots of times, if you buy courses here at the Warrior Forum, you can kind of stalk the product creator's posts and threads to see what he/she has been talking about, and to help you determine whether or not they really know their stuff.
