Setting Up Tracking with BevoMedia for MaxBounty - Need Help

I am trying to set up tracking with BevoMedia and I am lost. I have been doing CPA for a long time, but just gotten into PPC side of it and I want to track things.

The main thing I want to track are obviously are keywords, the ones that lead to conversions vs others.

I kind of need a step by step help here. So let me start from the beginning:

I am direct linking to this offer (using a redirect).

Lets say this is my original MaxBounty offer link:

http://www.mb103.com/lnk.asp?o=5723&c=918273&a=11111


I want to use a sub id to track whatever comes from Bing ads.

So, I add: &s1=bing

so the link becomes:
http://www.mb103.com/lnk.asp?o=5723&...=11111&s1=bing


On BevoMedia I choose to track my conversions via Postback URL, right?...

Then when asked for my Offer affiliate URL, I would enter the above url, (i.e. http://www.mb103.com/lnk.asp?o=5723&...=11111&s1=bing) correct?...

On the next page, I am stuck here on this option/question: Would you like to add custom tracking variables? Do I need this or not?...

I choose NO in this instance to get to the rest of the set up.

So then on the next page Bevo gives me:

Ad Destination URL for your direct-link campaign

http://affportal-lb.bevomedia.com/direct_link/direct-link/id/YMOOIODSKLNFIXUEVYAEGJMMCOYXXHOR/bevo_cc/11820/bevo_ca/20492/bevo_cv/Amino/bevo_r/{QueryString}/msnCreative/{AdId}/bevo_m/{MatchType}/bevo_p/msn?bevo_k={keyword}&adVar=Amino


And it gives me this Postback URL to enter in the offer detail page on MaxBounty.
https://affportal.bevomedia.com/land...nt=5.00&subid=

Now, is this last url where I would use variable to track the keywords or...? If so, what's the correct form?...

I used this exact set up on a test campaign. It tracks clicks, but nothing else (conversions, keywords, etc). Which is why I am assuming I may have to add something to this last url before entering it to the MaxBounty PostBack URL field on the offer detail page.

    It says on bevo to leave it blank after s1= so maybe remove bing...

    Since you are doing postback, s1 needs to be the bevo subid (not bing). You can put bing in another subid spot (like s2=)

    Also - you need to pass the subID to the postback url after https://affportal.bevomedia.com/landing_page/sale/userId/13174/rotator/18174?amount=5.00&subid={Maxbounty dynamic subid variable here}

    Ask your Maxbounty affiliate manage about the dynamic subid variable for postback, and put whatever syntax they tell you in that spot.

    Let me know if that makes sense!

      I still don't have this figured out.

      I just want to be able to see which keywords generate the leads. Would you be able to (looking at the example above) give me the end results url that I have to use for entering it in the MaxBounty offer postback box, and the end results url that bevo gives me to use as the destination URL?....

          No I haven't. Mainly because I thought my issues was from Bevomedia's side and not MB's.

          But from your comment, I am assuming I was wrong. Yes, I am that clueless. Thats what you get when you rely on SEO traffic for all your life, lol.

    When putting in your offer into Bevo Media, put it in like this:
    http://www.mb103.com/lnk.asp?o=5723&...=11111&s1={bevosubid}

    Make this your postback URL when inputting it into your Maxbounty offer:

    https://affportal.bevomedia.com/land....00&subid=#S1#

    If for some reason it doesnt pass, just upload the subids that got conversions from maxbounty into Bevo using the manual subid upload feature.

    Let me know if that does it!

        are you seeing conversion with subids in maxbounty? when you tried manual sub id. are you saying you create a manual sub id campaign or uploaded the converted subids to affportal.bevomedia.com/tracker_click/subid-upload/ ?
        your stats report everything in ppc stats.

          Yes, I do see conversions with subid in MB.

          I uploaded the sub ids that resulted in conversion (according to MaxBounty stats) to the affportal.bevomedia.com/tracker_click/subid-upload/.

          And yes, I did check the Tracker- PPC Tracker - Search (Bidded), but found no report of the uploaded manual sub ids.

          I am probably missing something very simple. But I am new to tracking so its all very foreign to me. Thanks.

      what link did you place in bing? you didn't use the link shortner ?

        I think I just realized my mistake.

        I am not directly linking to the offer. I am using a redirect from my own domain to the offer.

        So in that case, I placed the link that Bevo gave me in my domain's index file where I have the meta refresh redirect code.

        I am assuming that changes everything, correct?

        Or is that still counted as a "direct link"?

          Doing this you will never get the keyword data.You need to place your bevo tracking link in bing as is. If you are looking to use a LP to use domain as a redirect you should get a hold of steve at bevo. He helped me up with a redirect script So that i could setup a LP vs DL for the future uses of my campaign.

              the LP redirect is used for split testing direct link and landing page. its still risking your account in getting banned since visitors will not be be on the displayed link.

    I still haven't gotten this to work. In the Visitors spy report where I guess I would be able to see what keywords have converted, all I see in front "search term"is "{QueryString}. Like this:

    Anyone knows where I am going wrong?...

    Hello Bevo Troy.

    I have been using prosper202 for a while now but, without the proper split testing setup, I find myself having to use Bevo.

    I love your interface, and I love the fact that this is a robust app that seems to be able to track even better than CPV labs.

    My frustration with your platform, is in now somehow you seem to have conveniently omitted some steps to take in the setup of one's tracking.

    For instance, under "offers" when One is setting up their CPA url in the offer field, there's no information (nor video) about what to add at the end of the &s1= (assuming I am using MaxBounty,.

    in prosper202, we use the [[subid]] syntax.. in Bevo, I have no idea (the video says something about using the syntax from the cpa network.. so I would assume I would use #S1# is using maxbounty right?

    If this were the case, then what do we use in the postback url? Same #S1# variable? Somehow this doesn't sound or look right... LOL.

    Please help.

    When I use {bevosubid} this is what is reported in Maxbounty, instead of a keyword... which makes the {bevosubid} variable useless then?



    Moving ahead, if using LeadImpact as my traffic source, do I use {keyword} or what?

    No instructions on this either, just a reminder in the Bevo dasboard to click "keyword passthrough" in LeadImpact but, for keyword passthrough to work, I need the correct variable to add to the end of my landing page url in leadimpact.

    Right now all I have is a URL with a numeric number at the end, instead of "=" sign to which I can add my {keyword} token..



    The video instructions are pretty good, up till the points above, and seems this question has been asked a few times without sufficient answer.

    Come on Bevo, please explain this hidden part here please.

      Hey Prog3nie, funny things I noticed.

      This explains that you must enable keyword passthrough in your LI account in order to track keywords/URL's

      LeadImpact keyword pass through enabled...


      So LI will appended "?keyword=KEYWORD" to the end of your bevo tracking URL

      The other thing about passing subid to your affiliate network. I believe Bevo explains this on step3...


      It will not pass leadimpact keywords to your maxbounty account, only bevosubid and from your first image I see one of your bevo subid (81865784-23099).

      I believe {bevosubid} you see in your maxbounty reports comes from direct click to your offer from your LP not from not your destination URL then a click from LP. Not positive, something you'll need to contact their support about.

    That said... you seem to also have "conveniently" (no disrespect) circumvented answering my question, that of... what do I ADD at the end of my AD Destination URL... the one I put into LeadImpact?

    In Prosper202, it is ={keyword}, in Bevo, the destination URL comes already with an extention (if I may call it that).. in my graphic above it is bevo_c=139482.

    So, do I substitute "bevo_c=139482" with {keyword}, %keyword% or simply leave it as is, with keyword passthrough checked, and expect Bevo to collect the keywords and URLs for tracking?

    That's all I have been attempting to figure out...

    So, in the Bevo dashboard, where the offer url ends in the correct subid for my network (MaxBounty is s1=) I believe I shouldn't add anything to the end, if I add {bevosubid}, then my subids in MaxBounty end up with {bevosubid} instead of an auto generated numeric figure I should then upload into Bevo to see the keywords/urls?

    Thank you once again JoneJones... hope you can clarify on this.

      I take it to heart Prog3nie, I don't like using p202 even though I help others with that platform.

      From it I would remove "kw= " from my p202 URL. so that leadimpact would append
      &keyword=yourkeyword

      For bevo you would place your Destination URL "as IS" ending with "bevo_c=139482"

      If you re-read Leadimpact "keyword passthrough" It will append "?keyword=viagra" to your URL...

      So you end up with ?bevo_c=139482&keyword=viagra

      moving on, you can leave {bevosubid} it won't harm anything as it states.

    Ok, so I've implemented everything as jonejones explained, and I can see the subids in the MaxBounty dashboard.

    Question now is, once I manually upload the subids to the bevo media dashboard, I'm not getting any usable data (urls that generated the traffic etc).

    All I'm getting is whether a conversion was made or not, no other intel to tell me which urls generated which clicks, whether it was multiple urls, or just one.

    How do I make this data so that I can see:
    1. Source of traffic that generated the clicks/conversions
    2. IP address of person who clicked on my landing page.
    3. GeoLocation of person who clicked my links etc.
