150 Sales on Teespring

After several tests on Teespring and Facebook interest targeting, I finally got 150 sales. This just proves that Facebook interest targeting really works. I just find it hard to get custom audiences approved recently, and it's difficult to scale up since you have a limited number of audience. With interest targeting, you have a large audience that you can scale up after you get a few sales with your test campaigns. Please share your campaigns as well so everybody could learn.

  • Congrats...but you didn't share anything that anyone could learn from.

The key is targeting. I see that the most effective teespring/Facebook campaigns right now are name targeting, sports team targeting and profession targeting.
    • [ 6 ] Thanks

    • I just wanted to reiterate that interest targeting works, since there were a lot of concerns about custom audiences getting rejected and Facebook accounts getting banned. I actually just did basic targeting with this campaign. Perhaps I just found a good niche and have designed a nice shirt.
      • [1] reply
    • But, how do you create a shirt for a team without running into copyright laws? I have a Storefront on teespring (https://teespring.com/stores/outlier) but I have never created a shirt for a sports team. I thought you couldn't with all the copyright laws etc.
      • [1] reply
    • Then again, it's worth paying some money towards fb ads I think.
  • Congrats, I hope you don't mind sharing, I have only 3 question that's all! Because I've tried several times my clicks were 8c, pretty cheap but couldn't work up, no sales after 80 clicks. Not sure what's goes wrong, if my design or what.

I wanted to ask, did you use news feed?
    Is the design really outstanding?
Also are you designing by trends, your question could help me a lot thanks!
    • [1] reply
    • - Yes, I always use newsfeed ads. I'm not seeing conversions on right hand side ads.
      - I design it myself. I'm using Photoshop.
      - Yes, I research for trends before creating a campaign.

    • I've tried targeting small niches before. I was able to reach my goal (minimum shirts) but it's not possible to scale it up. So I'm now into large niches. Let me just remind you that your Facebook ads still need to be laser targeted. You need to find large niches. I didn't mean that you need to broaden your Facebook targeting. Hope this makes sense!
      • [1] reply
    • yeah you are right!
  • I'm on interest targeting myself. Here's one example of an ad running at the moment, notice the CTR:

Let me just add, that's not a huge audience, it's just about 32k/ one country!
    • [1] reply
    • Nice stats! How many sales did you get so far?
      • [1] reply
  • The whole Teespring thing is awesome. I'm addicted to watching my FB campaign stats sort of like how someone would watch the stock market.

I haven't succeeded at any campaigns yet and have failed at a few. Whatever, I think that's normal. I'm still going though.

Basically I'm trying to find hungry consumers who are really into certain niches. I'm trying to target consumers that haven't really been bombarded with T-shirt ads (this is getting harder).

Could someone please recommend the best strategy for CPC/CPM optimization? Clicks to website? Website conversion? oCPM or oCPC?

I've just been using page-post engagement with a fan page and I've been seeing CTR's above 5% but mediocre sales Sales are all that matter!
    • [ 1 ] Thanks
    • [1] reply
    • Hahaha! I'm addicted to it as well! I used to refresh my teespring browser and Facebook stats to see if I get any sales. LOL Anyway, I had sales with post engagement campaigns as well. But in my experience, I get more sales with website conversion campaigns. It's also easier to optimize website conversion campaigns since your goal here is to make sales, not post engagements (likes, shares, etc.).
      • [ 1 ] Thanks
  • I personally prefer CPC.
With the oCPM i don't see the point.
It's the same as CPM, it just has a statistics of how much you paid for each conversion...it's not like it won't charge you if you don't make any sales.

You just keep trying and you will succeed
    • [ 2 ] Thanks
  • I could never get CPC to work. I do OCPM then CPM afterwards.

Conversions can show for any bidding style, but OCPM uses Facebook's internal data to display the ads.

    • [ 2 ] Thanks
  • I ran CPM and got nice results but you must be careful with it.
It can burn through the budget easily

    Need to try oCPM again.
How do you test a campaign with oCPM?
Do you go to a certain amount, as with the CPC?
  • Grrrrr! Had to vent.. have a shirt that's getting all the Likes in the world, and even more so, Shares with comments that are showing a bunch of people Want my shirt and that they plan to buy it, or saying they gotta get this, or they're buying this for their sons, and so on.. but no sales so far. I guess what frustrates me is that while it's great to see Shares and Likes that show my shirt is desired, there's absolutely NO way for me to be able to contact any of these Shares and Likes to remind each person to buy the shirt when it's close to ending. It's like seeing money on a table in front of you yet you can't even reach out to grab it at all. All of this resulting from a PPE campaign. The link is there clearly for them above the fold, the call to action clear as day, but people are comment happy but still not buying it. lol
    • [4] replies
    • Put scarcity and tell the audience to take immediate action.

    • You'll get people who comment like that. My 9 year old son was looking over my campaigns and saw a lady that commented: "I want to buy this shirt." My son said to himself, "Then buy it!"

You'll get that. A lot of them won't buy however. It's normal. They might like the shirt, but it's not a motivating factor for them and the price might be too high. Oh well, it's not for them. The key is to reply to all comments as well as like all comments. Also, post a comment everyday, and 3-5 on the last 1 or 2 days for reminders.
      • [ 1 ] Thanks
      • [2] replies
    • You should be commenting on your campaigns and replying to their comments as well. I sometimes post a comment like "8 shirts left! Buy now!", then I'll see boost in sales in a few hours. Also, I believe Teespring runs their own campaign to re-target your audience. So if you have a really good campaign, you should not worry about reminding them to buy since Teespring is already doing this. By the way, what niche are you in? You might have chosen the wrong niche.
      • [1] reply
    • yea, I got 147 likes, 17 shares and 1 sale - it is frustrating.

  • i never made even 1 tspring sale.
    • [1] reply
  • Interesting, thanks for the post. I have a buddy making some good money on teespring.
  • If people love it and have to buy it, do they click through then see the price and don't?

My advice is simple, treat every teespring like a one night stand. Get in, get what you want and get out. If you can't close the deal, who cares, put up 2 more campaigns with 2 more designs.

New people get way too hung up ONE thing. "My ONE shirt didn't work". Screw one. Go for 100 tries instead.

Sometimes the moon and stars just don't align and it fails. But you only fail when you stop trying.

    • [ 5 ] Thanks
  • @global

On that particular campaign was only 1 color.
It wasn't about it. It was just the audience that likes and shares it, but nobody buys it.
There always will be such audiences, and the key is to recognize it and just drop the campaign and move on.
  • global - how long before you decide its not worth it to continue buying traffic for a shirt? after $20 spent? $50? $100?
    • [1] reply
    • It might be your chosen niche. If it doesn't work after tweaking the ads. Just drop it and move on. You're not married to any campaign!

It depends on my profit per shirt. So if I'm earning $12 per shirt, I would spend $12 on the first day to test if I can make a sale. If not, I will check the CTR and post engagements (likes, shares, etc.) if it's worth another try. If the CTR and post engagements were extremely low, I would stop the campaign.

If I'm getting decent CTR and post engagements, I would optimize the ads and run it for another day to see if I can get a sale. If still no sales on the second day after tweaking the ads, I would stop the campaign completely. Hope this helps!
  • I think setting the post in a niche page with a decent number of likes helps. Which page did you make the post in?
  • Congrats OP, you got success on the internet!
  • Congrats! Really good to read a success stories as yours.

    • My page has around 20 likes. The likes on the page wouldn't really matter since I'm doing a website conversions campaign. So the moment they click on my ad, they will be redirected to my Teespring campaign.

    • I spent aroud $700 on ads and earned around $1,500 on sales.

I'm into hobbies at the moment.

Yes, definitely look for the hot trends. I often look for some ideas from the Teespring bestsellers here: Explore T-shirts, Campaigns and Designs | Teespring

I normally go for audiences around 300k to 500k so I can scale it up. But I also consider small niches with around 20k to 80k audience if it's hot. I use both post engagement and website conversions campaigns.

  • Guys, what's worked best for you? Putting pictures on the t-shirts or only texts?
  • Quick question - are you guys creating a FB page specifically for one shirt, or for many shirts? How exactly is the FB page set up? I've been trying to follow this whole teespring campaign idea but I'm just a tad confused on this one aspect!
    • [1] reply
    • I normally just use texts. But I would add icons occasionally.

I'm just using one fan page for all my campaigns. It would depend on your strategy though. Some internet marketers build their fan page audience first before selling the shirt.
      • [1] reply
  • I've decided to go with a Website Conversion campaign for my first test-run. Does this mean I should also be bidding on Website Conversions or should I be using CPC instead?
  • I'm bidding for website conversions since that's my goal, and that equates to oCPM. I'm getting more positive results with oCPM than manual bidding...
  • Alright, I might have to try that! Thank you~ oh, and I took your advice and made one single fanpage for all of my t-shirts. Doing a little promotion to see if I can get some likes and liking other pages on Facebook to try and bring in some more fans. I'm just wondering if maybe the page is too broad for people to like... because my t-shirts so far have been from a couple of different niches. But I've also seen lots of t-shirt fanpages and websites that just have t-shirts that cater to everyone so I don't know...
    • [1] reply
    • I honestly tried creating individual fan pages for each of my shirt campaign, and I see significant increase in sales. I got the advice from someone who's been doing it well on Teespring. Anyway, I'm now using both PPE and website conversions campaigns. Got 14 sales in 12 hours.
  • Having just one FP for shirts as well as setting up a separate FP for each niche works well. We've added thousands of likes on both strategies just on the fanpages themselves, so I see no difference really in terms of sales.

But, about 80%-90% I like to set up a separate FP as you never know, you could stumble upon a "golden niche" that you want to eventually get into for the long haul and build out the FP.
    • [ 1 ] Thanks
    • [1] reply
    • Another thing is, if it becomes successful, you can easily sell them another shirt design or simply another shirt color to the same niche.
      • [1] reply
  • Reaching out to fanpage owners work, but I'd rather pay ads and dial in my targeting. We've had a few fanpage owners send us a "media kit" to advertise on their page but we haven't taken advantage of that yet. If the fanpage gets a lot of engagement and activity and it's targeted, then try negotiating with the fanpage owner on a CPA basis, or for every sale they get X amount.
  • Hi , can somebody help me out here.. I'm just curious as to how facebook charges for the ads. Do they take money straight out of your account?

I am reading that you guys are like spending up to $1,000 on ads? how are you affording this lol, I know your making a profit overall but how can you afford to spend over a grand on this and have to wait like a week or something before teespring pay you back unless.. teespring pay straightaway?

*I know this is probably a stupid question, but i'm scared facebook is gona start drying out my account before I can get anything back from teespring.
    • [1] reply
    • We've been doing internet marketing for quite some time now. So we do have enough funds for our campaigns. Anyway, you don't have to spend $1,000 since you're just starting out. Start with small campaigns and scale up slowly as you accumulate funds from your successful campaigns. Also, you can set a daily budget per ad set in Facebook, and they won't charge you more than that.
      • [1] reply
  • What kinda numbers are you targetting on average in hobbies? Just launched my 3rd campaign and i noticed a hobby tee that tipped like crazy within a day and is still selling like crazy so i took inspiration from that and created my own design. The audience is 26k and I'm not sure if this is too little or actually a good amount. I'm hoping i can at least make one sale in this campaign so i can get some sense of accomplishment and keep working at it.

EDIT: It's doing way better then my last two campaigns, but still no sales. Fingers crossed for tomorrow. Only $1.40 spent so far.
    • [2] replies
    • You don't have to watch for every penny. You don't have to be scared to lose some money. Just let it run for $20 or so and see how it went.
    • With the right targeting an audience of 26k is enough to make 50-100 or more sales, quite easily.

My highest ROI was on a campaign with an audience of 8000. I managed to sell 35 hoodies with an ROI of about 600%. The only problem with smaller audiences is that you can't really scale up, most of my campaigns run for 1-3 days and then the frequency hits 2-3 and the profits dry up completely.
  • Definitely don't need $1,000. If you've got some training and knowledge, then you can get going with about $100 to $300 or so. You may "lose" all of it, or you might come upon a winner that you can put your budget into, cash out, re-invest and launch again.

We start most of our campaigns with just $15. No sale, we end it. Look into doing the same for your campaigns.
    • [ 1 ] Thanks
  • I'm beginning to get near that stage of discouragement. Launched my third campaign a couple days ago. I was excited about this one. I did my research, the design was great and it was in a good niche that has not been exploited much but has been selling tons. The ad was being shared a lot and had plenty of likes and people were showing great interest in the shirt... So i kept waiting for a sale because it felt like it was just gonna happen anytime now. But no sales . I guess I'm just confused about what I did wrong. I keep thinking there is just some secret formula to targeting. I pretty much laser targeted this campaign as much as i could and most people sharing and liking were actually the people i wanted to target so everything seemed like it was done correctly.
    • [1] reply
    • How much have you spent on the ads? and how much people have been liking and sharing your post?

    • Hi globalexperts,

I'm new to teespring & facebook ads. And I'm a huge fan of you and your campaigns.

Can you help me a bit? Are you using "online spenders" option on facebook ads? Is it very effective in terms of conversions?

Also, what type of ads you think is the best, page post engagement? clicks to website? or website conversion?

When I choose website conversion, the average cost per conversion is ~$20. My profit per tee is ~$10 so I don't think its good to choose website conversion after all.

      More power to you.
      Thanks,

  • Day parting is fine if you're using straight CPM or CPC... but if you're using OCPM, I wouldn't mess with the campaign if you plan to run it for a long time, otherwise you'll mess with the algorithim and your results won't be consistent.
    • [1] reply
    • Fair enough. I'm currently using OCPM.

Which option do you think is best? What do others think?

  • Try Page Post Engagement too if OCPM and website conversions are not working for you.

Also your niches are political but you have to ask the question, "do these people wear t-shirts?"

    • [1] reply
    • What is the difference between post engagement vs conversions?

Are CPC or the other settings useful at all- I know you've said before you prefer OCPM?

Yeah well I guess the feedback is in the results, so at least I know the groups I targeted are not buyers! However Liverpool fans are definately buyers, but their interest seems to peak and trough according to the time of year I guess- now that it's off season maybe I should wait!

  • Very good topic, thanks for all information.
  • How much are you currently earning from Teespring, guys?
    • [1] reply
    • Some successful internet marketers that I know earn at least $10,000 per week from Teespring...
      • [1] reply
  • You can do name campaigns, you just can't use custom audiences with them.

PPE is page post engagement. It means you have a post on a page and want people to interact with it. You pay for likes, shares and comments. People get confused with this type in saying they're paying very little for "clicks" but those clicks are not always clicks on a link off Facebook.

OCPM is just a bidding type. It's optimized CPM and you pay per 1,000 impressions of your ad. Facebook is supposed to optimize it to show to the "best" audience they can find. You need to use a conversion tracking pixel to make it work best and I've found it really kicks in after 25 to 100 conversions.

However, you can place a tracking pixel for any bidding type or ad type. Then view it in the reports. Only when you setup "Website Conversion" campaigns do the conversions show on the main dashboard in your ad account.

    • [ 1 ] Thanks
    • [1] reply
    • That is exactly what I was pointing out about PPE campaigns. People are mostly looking at the total number of clicks. They should look at the number of website clicks, not the total number of clicks which includes clicking on like, share, etc.. Website clicks is what brings your audience straight to your Teespring campaign.

If you will compare the cost per website click on a PPE campaign and website conversions campaign, they are almost the same.

The good thing with website conversions campaign is you can use different images and ad copies. And you can easily optimize the ads based on conversions. You can't do that with PPE campaigns.
      • [ 1 ] Thanks

  • Pause the first ad and start new adsets with your converting demo... we like to break it down to 5 year age groups... not all the time however.

  • Ok what's the tipping point?

I spent just around $20 on ads in about 4hrs which achieved
    2 sales
    20 shares
    60+ likes
    4 comments

Thought this would be a winner.... But no.

    In the next 7 hours
    0 sales
    6 shares

Add spend is now $30. Have paused the campaign for now but thinking of trashing it.

    • Have you tried to optimize your ads? Pause the low-performing ads and scale up the ads that got the conversions.

Here's one of my newest campaigns. 18% CTR and 1 conversion after just spending $0.35 on ads. The key in Facebook marketing is keeping your cost down while generating sales to make massive profit!

    • Create another campaign to target your audience with different angle...

    • If you've spent $20 and you got 2 sales, then there's potential... BUT, it's likely that you'll need to put in more advertising $ to "mine that gold" so to speak.

If your budget is low, then close out campaigns if you've spent $30 and haven't received at least 3 sales... just my .02

  • Yeah they were working on something.

    I must be missing something:

    1. Design is getting rave complements
    2. engagement is continuous - likes/shares
    3. ?????
    4. profit

step 3 is missing for me as the sales just aren't coming in. What am i missing that's going to turn people who like and share the shirt into buyers?

It's in the sports niche so i know this is a demographic that does by tees but what makes them tip?
    • [1] reply
    • Be specific with your stats. Or share us the screenshot of the stats. Also, I realized the it actually depends on your niche. I have one niche who are high-income earners and the post engagements turned out to be really low. However, those few post engagements still resulted to a lot of sales.
      • [1] reply
  • I started a few TeeSpring campaigns today for 3 different niches. I chose the action for website conversions and ocpm with default bids.

So far today, I've spent $23.81 for 10 clicks and zero conversions. I'm not even getting very many impressions (about a 3,200 reach for all 3) and I have audiences of 2.5m-3m. Daily budget is set to $50 each.

I am clueless as to what the problem could be, why it's costing so much and why I'm not getting very many impressions. The ads are well designed. The audiences are targeted to interests and the age ranges are 24-55 in the USA.

It's kind of hard to get any clicks with so few impressions and with it set to ocpm, I can't really adjust anything.

Any ideas? Any one else facing this issue? I've paused the ads for now as they don't seem to be providing any positive results.

    Thanks in advance.
  • Seems like the audience is very broad. Use some layering that down to around 100k to 500k.

You're competing with thousands of other advertisers with an audience that big.
  • Thanks, PPC Coach! I will try that.
  • I've spent $52.67 to my campaign and only got 1 sale. I've 2 ads:

    Potential Audience was 300k
    56 Post Engagements
    4,287 Reach
    72 Clicks
    1,648% CTR
    Total Spent $25.22

    Potential Audience was 2,8k
    64 Post Engagements
    1,870 Reach
    101 Clicks
    4.495% CTR
    Total Spent $27.35

And I think I got 1 sale from the 2nd ad which only has 2,8k potential audience. But you can see the difference right? It's all about targeting. But I think I made a mistake, it's only Boost Post. Now I paused those 2 ads and start with Website Conversion and we'll see how it goes. Hopefully more sales! Because it's only 2,8k Potential Audience. Is it okay? Or it's too small? I mean the Potential Audience. Thanks before!
  • Split between PPE as well. Personally boosted posts do the worst for me..

    Question:

Who uses ad management services? 3rd party stuff?
I'm eager to find something easier to do mass split tests with, as well as a way to automate bidding, pausing, scaling etc.

    • 2,800 audience would be very difficult to scale up. Try to find a niche that has 40,000 audience or more...

Are you into a hobby niche? Your 440,000 audience might not be targeted enough. Also, you're targeting people who are 18 yrs old and above. 18 to 20 year old people mostly do not have a credit card. And in most cases, 21 to 30 year old people do not buy shirts online, but this would depend on your niche.

Yes, definitely work on your targeting. And don't just let your ads sit there! Keep on optimizing them as you get more stats/results.

    • I always start with a small budget. Normally $5 to $10 per day on the first day. Then I scale it up to $30 to $100 per day if I get sales for the first $10. Also, I usually drop campaigns if I don't get sales for the first $10 to $20. And yes, your potential audience is too small. Try to find a niche that has at least 40,000 audience.

Probably yes. I just created a DOB campaign the other day, and my ads were rejected by Facebook.

    • Ok, I am back with more questions

      1) How do you target people with 2 interests? For example, someone who likes traveling AND surfing. Whatever I do, I get people who like traveling OR surfing. What am I missing here?

      2) If you had a successful campaign, how long do you wait to launch the same shirt again to the same audience?

    • [1] reply
    • I normally put 50 shirts. You can always request for a goal drop if you see that you won't make it, but you have at least 10 shirts sold.

Facebook Insights can be used to expand your audience since custom audience is somehow limited. It can also be used to find new niches. Please check the link I posted previously about Facebook Insights. One of our fellow warrior has explained it pretty well on how you can take advantage of it...

  • Is there any recommended resource out there for gaining an in-depth understanding on how to use Facebook's advertising platform? I've read through some their knowledge base and picked up some things from here and some videos I've watched, but I feel like with a complete understanding of it I could be more proficient with how I approach my ads.

I just bought ads for the first time yesterday - was targeting a group of 28,000 and made my first sale at $1.24 spent but haven't made another one yet, at $5.xx now. I chose to spend $20 over 48 hours.

Is it better to spend $20 in one day while actively monitoring it and trying to optimize or to spread it out over 2-3 days to see if your campaign has potential? I guess I'm trying to figure out the best the strategy for the test spending phase.

Also, I recall hearing that your goal should be 5-6% of your potential reach, but that seems high. Is there any common rules that are accepted regarding conversion goals and potential reach? Does potential reach even matter if you target efficiently enough (say your reach is 500,000 but your targeting criteria is very robust and specific.)

Thanks for all the information so far - not sure if I came across this thread already while doing research over the last six weeks, but great stuff.
  • I just found out the hard way that Teespring will not let you drop your goal below 20% of the original goal. In my case, I got way too optimistic and started out with a goal of 100 shirts. On the last day of the campaign I had sold 8, so I wanted to drop the goal to 10 with hopes of tipping the campaign.

However, Teespring would not let me go below 20 shirts for the new goal. So unless you're certain your campaign will be very successful, start low.
    • [1] reply
    • Do they state this anywhere? I've got five days left on a campaign, spent $20 so far and I have ten sales with the tipping point at 50. I'm wondering what I should do the rest of the campaign advertisingwise.

  • I've had a decent campaign for the last few days. 40 shirts in 3 1/2 days and the campaign still has 3 days to run. The target is 50 shirts

I'm currently at $50 a day in adspend. I tried to increase the budget to $100 a day yesterday but I didn't see any huge increase in conversions.

This is a pretty niche group around 100k max and i'm already targeting all of them as far as I know.

Any other way to scale apart from throw more money at the campaign?

How do you guys increase urgency to get people to buy now rather than wait till later?
    • [1] reply
    • Be careful when trying to scale up your campaign. Facebook sometimes increases your CPM significantly when you increase your budget, but you basically end up with the same results.
  • I designed a shirt. Now I am getting alot of likes and comments and shares on it.

Now in the comments people are saying they want, they will buy for sure, they are tagging other people to buy the shirt and even asking how to order the shirt.

Even after all that I haven't got a single sale on this shirt on teespring. Now is it worth retargeting to these people?

    • No custom audiences, no sports, no names, no ages, nothing against FB ToS in any way.

It's pretty simple actually. Create your shirt. Copy and paste the image on a fan page with very simple ad copy above it and a link to the sales page. Then use FB interest targeting to zero in on INTERESTED fb users.

The part where most people get caught is the targeting.

Feel free to ask questions. I'm an open book.

      RULES:
I will not show you the design as I plan to rerun it many times.

  • I'm low on money for my TS Facebook ads. My roommate says she can invest some money and we can become partners. Essentially I would do all the work, and she'll just put money into the campaigns, but she wants a 50/50 split on the profits.

The problem I've run into with my small budgets is that it's difficult to scale up a potentially successful campaign. Has anyone partnered with someone 50/50? Would this be better than doing nothing, or should I just keep trying on my own with my limited budget?
    • [2] replies
    • It may be a good idea to partner with someone if you have a limited budget. However, it would be best to do it on your own once you have accumulated enough budget from your successful campaigns in the future so you'll get 100% profit!

In the past, I did partner with a guy who claimed to have a team of Teespring experts. Unfortunately, it turned out that his team has a very little knowledge of Teespring. So I just ended the partnership with him and decided to just do it on my own.
      • [ 1 ] Thanks

  • What do you guys pay "per click" for pricing? Do you go with the "default optimized" or edit accordingly?
  • @globalexperts

When targeting, do you mostly target multiple interest in one campaign/adset? or do you target with one interest per campaign/adset?
  • Thrasher66099, do use copyright images for teespring campaign?
Is it a text or image?
    • [1] reply
    • I always use OCMP.

Yes, definitely target one interest per ad set then track your conversions. Don't mix them up!

I'm using ad templates and I simply ad my shirt images into it.

I don't have the time to create and manage that many campaigns for now. But I plan to do that soon...
  • This is really interesting,
I actually havnt started out with tspring yet, still learning the whole concept.
But I think some very important factor are:
    1. You tshirt designs have to be something unique and pretty to look at, something that will make the wearer stand out, not necessarily having too many color but what colors u are able to blend of a very coolgraphic illustration you are able to use.
2 then also your target audience, no point creating cool tees that your target audience can't pay for.
I think one should also focus on specifit niche, a lot of deihard fans will spend good money on whatever it is the are passionate about and that will inform what kinds of design you come up with.
Finally I think its also best to outsource the designs to a pro if you are not great with graphics.
    ......Just my two cent.
  • i recently buy your templates. but i haven't used it yet cos my friend doesn't time to edit ad image for me. Can i ask if which is the best to use that will give a good CTR. i am using newsfeed ads all the time..

  • I've been reading up on a bunch of teespring threads about teespring and fb and decided to give it a go. Had a bit of a learning curve but now I'm getting anywhere from 2%-10%+ CTR so by better targeting techniques and testing so I'm slowly getting the hang of it

Just wanted to ask, when you're testing your ads and narrow it down to your best performers (I try to keep it between 2-5), do you then beef up the daily budget to push it more? For example, I currently test my Ad Set with $10 daily budget and within that test 10 or so ads to see which performs best and start turning off ads when they don't have a good reach/CTR. Once I think I've found some solid ads, should I be changing the Ad Set daily budget to a higher amount?

I'm currently running an ad that's so far gotten 2 conversions with 6% CTR. Looking for some advice from you guys

Thanks for your insights in this thread and others, it's been really helpful to get some insight for this!
  • Can someone tell me if i'm on the right path:

This would be my successful campaign.
I actually have 15 sales, not 6 (goal of 20). I still have over 2 days left (out of 5 days)

Is it worth scaling up? And by how much should I increase the budget?
    • [1] reply
    • It looks good! I think you should continue to run your ads. How much have you spent so far?
      • [1] reply
  • Hey globalexperts, when you create your ads, are you checking all the desktop, mobile, and right side ads? I did that and noticed in my reports that I reach the majority of my audience via mobile (probably ~90%) and not desktop. Should I be split testing mobile ads in one ad set and desktop in another?
    • [2] replies
    • prteek...I've had that happen as well. I'm pretty sure it happens because the credit card being charged is declined when Teespring tries to bill it. It doesn't affect your campaign as far as reaching the goal, but it is frustrating because you lose out on the money for the sale.
      • [ 1 ] Thanks
    • Yes, it happens all the time. It actually happens when you reached your goal, NOT when you drop your goal. It probably happens when you drop your goal since you normally request a goal drop that is equal to the current number of your sales making you reach your goal after the goal drop. I believe Teesping starts to charge the credit cards once you reached your goal, so order cancellations and rejected credit cards will be deducted from your total sales.

I create separate ad sets for newsfeed ads and right column ads. Don't mix them up since Facebook will show newsfeed ads the most since it gets more clicks and it's more pricey. So it would basically make Facebook more money. hehe
      • [ 2 ] Thanks

    my target about 500k people, age 25-54 , CPC max : $0.62
    i set daily budget $200.
    anybody please give me idea?

thank so much and sorry about my bad in english
    • [1] reply
    • Try to use oCPM to get better results. Your cost per click is too high to make a profit.
      • [1] reply
  • I wouldn't set the daily budget that high for testing. Most of the time, I keep it to between $10 and $20 dollars when I'm testing. Don't scale up until you find a winner. If you get a few sales with the first $10 to $20, then slowly raise the budget and watch to make sure your sales increase as well.

Your cost per website click is way too high to make any money off that shirt. You'd have to sell a shirt every 3 to 5 clicks to even come close to turning a profit. My most popular shirts take 15 to 20 clicks per shirt sold, but I'm only paying a few cents per click.
  • Hi,

I can see most replies talk about direct traffic.
Has anyone thought of retargeting (such as Adroll) as a way to bring back viewers that already represent a cost? By retargeting, around 35% of the "lost" customers can be transformed into hot leads.
  • Hey globalexperts (or anyone else), just getting back into this - had one successful campaign last month but life got in the way and I haven't had a chance to launch any since - I wanted to learn more about the Facebook advertising platform before spending money advertising new campaigns.

I am wondering if there is any science to when you should run your ads - like if I am targeting people 25-49, do I run ads only on weekdays, do I try to run adds during normal US 9-5 hours since people are more likely to be at a work computer with access to Facebook, etc. Just curious if this factors into any of your decisions when advertising or if it is irrelevant in the grand scheme.

Another thing I was interested in is your opinion on what demographic categories are most useful when targeting - like do you use the household income or have a preference to which ones work best when targeting.

My first successful campaign sold 13/10 shirts, spent like $20 on advertising, and the exposure was only to 28,000.

For those with the 300+/50 campaigns, what is your average exposure level?

This thread is full of great information and I'm glad to be a part of it - looks like a lot of good discussion since the last time I posted in it!
    • [ 1 ] Thanks
  • It depends on the shirt. Some shirts will sell 300 copies with less than 100K exposure, while others will take hundreds of thousands of people reached to hit that many sold, if they ever do. You'll know when you have a real winner in a big niche. I have some shirts that are exposed to hundreds of thousands of people and others that only reach 20K to 30K. It all depends on how well they're selling and how much I'm willing to expand.

Targeting depends on the niche. I like to find huge Facebook pages in the niches I'm making shirts for and target the ads to them first. The page names aren't always available in Interests, but when they are, they can be big winners. Then, I'll break the ads down by age and gender. I never even look at income, but the markets I'm targeting are expensive to be in and most people who are liking pages in those markets can easily afford a $20 shirt.

As far as attempting to run ads at different times, I put my ads up and let them run. I don't have time to try to play around with shutting ads down and restarting them every day. Winning shirts will consistently get sales throughout the entire day. It slows down a little in the evening hours, but so does the reach and the amount of money being spent.
    • [ 1 ] Thanks
    • [1] reply
    • I'm curious whenever I lump together my FB ad that both delivers Desktop, Mobile, and Right column, that most of the reach is through Mobile. Is this a FB algorithm thing?

I since then tried to split up into three different ad sets to see which one performs better and optimize accordingly.

Still learning but love the advice and motivation this gives me

  • Hey guys! I have been very busy with work. How are your campaigns going?
    • [2] replies
    • Still lots to learn. I had what is known as beginner`s luck. Earned some nice money and then blew it all away on testing for other campaigns. Lesson learned: if you don`t sell at least 2 shirts by $20 spent, kill the campaign. And don`t get attached to a design.

I have one campaign that is going really well now and I think it`s time to scale up. Although I`m not sure whether to scale up to $50 a day for audience of 98,000 (age 18-34) or split into 2 adsets: $25 for 18-24 and $25 for 25-34. What do you think?
      • [1] reply
    • I've tried 9 campaigns with only 1 sales (and that one got suspended, haha). I've spent about $50 on FB Ads. Thanks for sharing your success story. I need be brave enough to spend more money to test ads.

It's still so strange for me. Spending $50 dollars offline for some tangible products is a lot easier that spending $25 online for Facebook Ads. I need to break free from this feeling.

What's your FB Ad budget when you start a campaign and how many campaigns do you normally run at the same time? And do use budget for lifetime or per day?
      • [1] reply
  • I'm only starting out with Amazon so there's not much to brag about at the moment.
  • My ad budget depends on the the design and whether or not I think it's going to be successful. I usually know within the first $10 to $20 if a design is going to be successful or not. Sometimes, if I really like a design, I'll spend a little more trying to get it targeted correctly, but this rarely works out in my favor. As far as budgets for successful campaigns go, I've spent $5K+ advertising a single design when it's really selling well.

The number of campaigns I run at once varies. Sometimes I have 10 to 20 campaigns running at once. Other times, I only have a few campaigns running. Right now I'm waiting on a rather large check from Teespring and only have a handful of campaigns running until I can re-up my advertising budget. I hit a big winner that I was able to spread out across multiple shirts in different niches and drained my ad budget advertising them.

I use daily budgets on all my ads. This allows me to fine-tune the amount I'm spending per day based on how well the shirts are selling. If I'm only getting a couple sales, I'll leave the budget as-is. If the sales are pouring in, I'll raise the budget accordingly.

It takes a while to get things right, but if you're able to hit the winning combination of hungry market and great shirt design, the results are nothing short of phenomenal.

Do you build a Facebook page and small fanbase around the niche before your run your PPC? I have a Facebook page that I run just for fun. I see other Teespring connoisseurs building fanpages and then throwing their shirts out to the fanbase to give it some social proof and it seems to work pretty well. Many of them are spending hundreds if not thousands on advertising thus dominating the market. My problem is picking a niche. Im so indecisive
  • I create a page and populate it with a couple memes before advertising a shirt to a niche I'm attempting to break into. I'm the only fan of the page and have no following when I start advertising my first shirt to that niche. If the shirt design is a hit and people like it, a lot of them will like the page along with the shirt. When a design really takes off, I'll end up getting a couple thousand likes to the page along with selling 1,000+ shirts.

Once I have a couple thousand or so organic likes, I'll start a likes campaign advertising the page to get the page to really take off. This helps with future campaigns because I then have a hungry market that's engaged with my page and I can make a number of sales to page members by boosting posts to them and their friends.

Do you use the page for only one campaign and one design? Or do you build a page off of a niche and use it to run more than one design / campaign?
  • It depends on how well the first couple campaigns do. If I hit a winning design and get a lot of likes to a page, I'll keep creating shirts for that page and try to build it up. If the first shirt or two I make and try to market to a niche fails miserably, I'll dump the niche and try something else. I've got around 30 Facebook pages right now. A number of them have less than 100 likes and I haven't touched them for months. Others have 20K+ likes and I post to them every day.

    • I took a look at both of your shirts. Did you specifically target Texas in the "This Texan Supports Israel" one? If not, that's contributing to your extremely high cost per click because most of the people who see your ad won't be from Texas.

As far as the other one goes, I couldn't read what the shirt said in the ad, but there appeared to be at least some interest in it. A redesign may be in order to try to create buyers out of the lookers.
      • [1] reply
    • I see that you're targeting people living in United States for the Texan shirt. That's way too broad. You might want to target ONLY people living in Texas and people whose hometown is Texas. Hope this helps. I, too, am a newbie. 9 failed campaigns so far.

Or try it with a brand new page with zero fans?
  • [DELETED]
  • [DELETED]
  • You don't need a fanpage with fans to start. Create an empty fanpage and you'll pick up a bunch of likes if you hit a successful design. If you feel more comfortable with a fanpage with a couple thousand fans, you can spend a couple hundred dollars on a likes campaign to build the fanpage up a bit, but I've found it isn't necessary.

I do run LIKE campaigns once I've found a hungry market and have had a winning shirt design or two, but my first shirt or two is usually created and advertised with an empty fan page with only a few posts.
  • Teespring recently rolled out some major changes. One of these changes is the "Store" feature. Anyone had success using this?
    • [1] reply
    • New feature is interesting... anyone used it yet or thought of ways to implement it?
Seems like you could maybe do your split testing/variations by having 5-10 shirts in a given niche and drive all traffic to a store front page.
Not sure if it would dilute your targeting but could always test
      • [1] reply
  • I think a very crucial part of your tspring marketing is in niche reseach which deternines what kinds of tshirts you deserve. Then your facebook ads targeting is half of the job, I think its best to outsource the designs to a pro if u're not one yourself.
  • wow, seems finally I would have to start learning tspring too! great results, thanks for the motivation!
  • Teespring has definitely emerged as one of the best online t shirt platforms, have to get started with it!
  • Anyone has tried the new "Partner Mobile Apps" ad of Facebook for Teespring campaigns?
  • have you been getting paid timely on teespring so far?
    • [2] replies
    • Yes! I've been getting paid on time...
      • [ 1 ] Thanks
    • Absolutely. I've received a number of checks from them and they've all arrived in the time frame Teespring said they would arrive and I've been able to cash them with no problems.
  • always been paid on time. That's not an issue for me.
    • [1] reply
    • I haven't done any Teespring campaigns in a few weeks, and I tried to start one this morning and the lowest I could get the base price for 10 shirts was $13.60. Did the TS prices go up?

It might also be the design, which is only two colors (grey and black), but it was professionally done and there might be other layers showing up and increasing the price, but I just want to make sure this is still viable.

      Thanks!

  • I launched a campaign yesterday night, and as of 11 am today, it has 222 Facebook likes. Now the thing is that I haven't done any kind of marketing on it yet. Not a Facebook post or tweet...nothing. It doesn't have any sales, which is understandable since I barely sent my FB ad campaigns for approval.

The likes just puzzled me. I was wondering if it has happened with anyone else as well.

Ive seen those pop up again in the last 2 days. My grandmother even showed me one on facebook targeted at her name and she thought it was so neat lol. I thoughy Facebook banned those along with age targeting? If not ill probably hop on the wave and try it out.
      • [1] reply
  • The ad pixel won't fire until you've made a sale. The more sales you've made, the better Facebook is able to determine who to show your ads to for conversion campaigns. Even then, I've rarely had better luck with website conversion ads than I've had with post engagement ads and CPC ads.

Your click through rate is really low which will drive your ad cost up. You're either advertising to the wrong market or you have a shirt people don't want to buy. If you're in a market that's already seen a lot of shirts, people will sometimes like your shirts and tag their friend, but they won't pull the trigger unless you show them something really special.
  • Yeah seems like you haven't really spent enough to get any data worth making decisions over.

What type of ad were you running?

    What type of bidding?

    What interests?

    These all matter.

    • [1] reply
    • I agree, the CTR was simply unacceptable. Being new to the PPC game (is that even what its called?), I didn't know where to benchmark. Looks like I should be benchmarking about 3% CTR on campaigns like this to pull a profit.

I changed the ad up, used the ad that tested best from the prior campaign, rewrote the copy, and the current CTR is 1.86%. I'm definitely targeting the right niche and there's about 180,000 in the pool, and I removed side ads as well as partner ads. I'm simply promoting mobile and desktop - using a CTA of "Shop Now."

      So far I've
      -Reached 3,033
      -Frequency 1.03
      -Clicks 58
      -CTR 1.864%
      -Spent $16.54
      -$5.32 Optimized CPM

      Conversions 0

      I am targeting:

      Age: 21 - 26
Interests: Very closely related to my design
Behaviors: Men's apparel, Online buyers or Women's apparel

The bidding was Optimized CPM, and what I did for tracking to work was make the first purchase lol. I don't mind being stuck with a cool shirt.

This is the 2nd design I've tried. I'll keep trying more until I get something to pop...
  • I had a custom advert made for my campaign... gonna see how this effects conversion ratios... so far I'm in over $100 just testing this stuff out and not one conversion gahhh...

Be easy on yourself man and just keep tanking. Dedication and risk will pay off, just keep a positive mind. Im a little over a $100 in for testing and learning with only 1 conversion TOTAL for all of my campaigns. I learn something new from each one. Stick with it and you'll get there eventually!
  • I've been there too. I think I made 2 sales across my first 13 campaigns or something like that. Learn from your mistakes, try different shirt designs, different markets and different targeting and keep testing with small amounts of money. Don't get stuck on a design or a target market if you aren't making sales. Learning when to kill a campaign and move on is one of the hardest skills to acquire when you're just starting out.
  • I was thinking about doing t-shirt, but it seems a lot of people fail at it.

  • So it seems like the average CPC is around $0.30 - $0.50 for FB ads? This seems a bit pricey to me, have FB's ad rates gone up? It seemed like everyone has been getting "clicks for pennies" the last couple years, now I see all the way up to $0.60 - $0.70...

Also, what kind of conversion rates are people seeing on Teespring's site?

I'm still trying to benchmark my KPIs, so not sure what I should be looking for.

    Thanks!

    • My cost per click is between $0.01 and $0.20 depending on the niche I'm targeting. My average is around $0.05 per click. My conversion rate runs anywhere from 2% all the way up to 15% according to Teespring analytics.

      ... see the attached image
      • [1] reply
  • It depends on the engagement he's getting on his ads.

If he spent $12 and only got a few likes, clicks and shares, dropping the campaign is probably a good idea. If he's seeing a lot of likes, clicks and shares, but no sales, then he might want to play around a bit with the targeting and the design of the shirt to see if he can get it dialed in.
  • Just to give you an update guys, the new Teespring minimum goal is now down to 5 shirts from 10 shirts.

  • I have started 2 days ago with Teespring and my campaign will be for 3 days only. So on my first $5 spend I have 2 sales and after that there's none so I spent $10 right now and I tweaked interest again.

My campaign will end tomorrow, So I started to adjust my daily budget to $35. So I hope it will be a homerun.

  • I'm in $20 spent right now and the 2 sales is still 2 and my campaign will be ending in 20 hours. What the heck is wrong.
    • [1] reply
    • Have you tracked your conversions? Did you implement the tracking pixel? If yes, then you should be able to easily see what ads generated 2 sales. And you simply need to scale up those ads and stop the ones that didn't convert.
  • Has anyone started to sell hoodies? Is it a good time to start selling hoodies now? I haven't tried to sell hoodies in the past since I only started selling on Teespring last summer.
  • I include hoodies as part of every campaign...And they're generally pretty good sellers. I'm currently testing having them as the shirt that appears on the front of the page and it seems to be working well.
    • [1] reply
    • Thanks for your inputs! I also think that hoodies generally sell well during the colder seasons.
      • [ 1 ] Thanks
  • Congrats! Consistency and persistency pays. Your a great example to us all.

Unfortunately a large number of people give up with their first T spring campaign but by experimenting and trying out different designs, you will hit jackpot. It's a matter of time.
  • Hey

Well, I tried this now. You recommended OCPM, however I think €1.40 is quite high compared with what you paid for your ads .... also it does not really work at all, CTR 0.06% is a joke and reach 1,358 out of a target group of 7 million (!!!!) also unbelievable low.

And almost $3 (!!!!) cost per click!!!

Not sure what I am doing wrong?
    • [1] reply

    • Maybe 7 million is too big of an audience size?

As I am no expert perhaps the others can comment, but I would try segmenting it by age groups (18-30, 31-40, etc) and then maybe you can see where it gets the most traction.

But from what most people on the forums and other places have said, 7 million people would be too big of a net to cast.
  • I could never get CPC to work. I do OCPM then CPM afterwards.

Conversions can show for any bidding style, but OCPM uses Facebook's internal data to display the ads.
  • I have spent $40 for 3 day campaign and it is unsuccessful with only 2 bought the tshirt. Maybe I'm in the wrong niche.

I think you have to have a page on something with many followers and then after that build a teespring campaign.
  • Very good job! Congrats.

I was wondering how big was your audience? Mine are usually very low so I don't get that many sales. After a while most have seen the ad before and I see the conversions stops.
    • [1] reply
    • That's a really bad CTR! I bet you're using a "right column" ad. Try to do newsfeed!

My audience is between 50,000 to 200,000. Don't pick an audience that is too small to scale up.

Sorry, the screenshot is kinda blurred! I can't see the details. Anyway, if you have a high CTR on a specific ad, then you want to scale that up and pause the ones with low CTR.
      • [2] replies
  • Congratulations on your success globalexperts!
    Well done.
  • Either your targeting is completely wrong or your shirt design leaves a lot to be desired. Your click through rate needs to be around 5 to 6 percent or higher to get your cost per click down. Try retargeting your ad or scrap the shirt and try a redesign. There's something seriously wrong if you're getting less than 1%.
    • [1] reply
    • Well, it is about a fitness tshirt for women, which sells very well on other sites like e.g. ebay and etsy. SoI think the design is ok.

my target group should be optimized, it is a custom audience with women wo are active on most popular women fitness pages on facebook. Although target group is not too big, about 20000.

What I am also wondering is why frequency is 10 now, that looks like the ad is always displayed to the same people? Well, this is kind of useless. If they did not click it first or second time, then they also will not click it after they saw it 10 times.
  • It's because of the size of the audience. With smaller audiences, the ads keep recycling and the frequency keeps increasing. If you haven't made many sales by the time it hits 2 or 3 with that small of an audience, it's time to kill the ad.
    • [1] reply
    • yes but can you cannot broaden the audience if you are using custom audience. I thought maybe I can use custom audience PLUS target people from USA age 18-49 with interest xyz, but that does not work.
Well, frequency is 10 now, and still no sales. Also everybody is saying newsfeed ads are better than right-column ads .... why??? If someone clicks on right-column ad he goes to your website with your offer. But if he clicks on newsfeed ad, he just goes to your fan page and maybe gives a like or comment

Also if I kill the ad, well, then what to improve? Audience is already targeted, if no sales with targeted customers then how to make sales?!
  • Hey guys! Can you suggest any Teespring alternatives? I need an alternative that can sell shirts in the US as well. Thanks!

    • Most of the campaigns I run have a 2:1 ratio of shirts to hoodies. It's all relative to the audience and how your ads look.

      http://prntscr.com/5dqpik

      http://prntscr.com/5dqpke

      http://prntscr.com/5dqppa

I ALWAYS make sure my ads include a hoodie and I always mention that hoodies are available.

I've been curious to try an ad that directs the prospect straight to the hoodie first to see if that would increase the ratio so I will be doing that next campaign.

So far the campaign I'm doing is a relaunch of one that sold 500+ (two launches, one at 180 and another over 350). But today (Friday) sold 51 shirts and there are 5 days left. Based on the conversions and momentum I'm hoping to break 200 by the end of the weekend.

      But only time will tell!

  • Great thread... we've been doing TeeSpring off and on for about a year now. Our first couple of campaigns sold 150-220 shirts. Unfortunately, some of our later campaigns keeps getting taken down, which is annoying because we see other shirts using the same trademarked words but were never targeted.

Anyway, looking forward to doing some serious marketing this year to ramp up this part of business.

Do any of you run t-shirt shops outside of the TeeSpring campaigns? I.e. do you keep inventory of stuff that you know is popular so you can sell them on Shopify or elsewhere? Just wondering...
  • 150 Sales, Not bad!
    Set your goals higher
  • Anyone here still doing teespring?
  • Campaign finishing today should top just over 500 shirts. Still a viable platform, just have to be creative use the old noggin.
  • Good job. Congrats.

    • [1] reply
    • Still going strong on it myself.

I don't see it going away for a while, in fact; it's still in its infancy.

Providing Teespring keeps optimizing their back end platform I can see this just getting better.

  • If you're starting with $100 then that's fine but you will have to be pretty lucky to get the right combo of design, audience and ad that works on the first try.

  • Are hoodies still selling well for you guys? I'm staring to see a decline in my hoodies sales...
  • Hoodies are still selling great for me...Once they slow down, it's going to hurt since I make twice the amount from a hoodie as I do from a shirt!
  • Fire up a PPE ad, get 50-100 sales, then fire up a WC ad and scale hard up to hundreds of sales with ease. Make sure audience size is big enough to scale. $5 budget ads x 20-30 work best.

  • Hi Jon,

Please tell us what the acronyms mean (PPE and WC) below from your previous post:

Fire up a PPE ad, get 50-100 sales, then fire up a WC ad and scale hard up to hundreds of sales with ease.

    Thanks!

    Bret
  • [DELETED]
  • PPE is page post engagement. You can do those as a post on a page where you then send traffic to it OR you can use the power editor to make them and then track every conversion more accurately. (Although you lose a bit of social proof).

WC means website conversion ad. It's for things like the newsfeed ads and right hand side ads on Facebook typically.

To start you want to do PPE ads to get some viral activity, see what people are saying and gauge whether the campaign is a keeper or a dumper.

  • Anyone has tried the "promotions" feature on Teespring?
    • [1] reply
    • I use the promotion feature for a few different reasons. One is for targeting the people who have visited the site but didn't buy a shirt so I offer free shipping or 3-5 bucks off.

Other times I use it when I message my current customers.

It could be used successful for a variety of reasons.
      • [1] reply
  • Hey guys! Anyone who has tried the Facebook multi-product adverts where you can use multiple images on a single ad? I can't figure out how to create one in power editor. I'm not sure if it just happened that this feature is not yet available in my advertising account.
  • I've used the multi product ads.

I have mixed results so far.

Only ran a couple campaigns, but my thoughts are too many options just confuse people and they don't click it.

In power editor when you go to create the ad, you should an option for a single image and then multiple image ad.

If you don't, refresh your power editor or it may not have been rolled out to you yet?
    • [1] reply
    • Thanks man! I'm not really sure! I've already checked out two Facebook advertising accounts (the one I own and another one that my client owns). Both do not have the multiple image ads feature yet. Perhaps this features has not been rolled out to our accounts yet.
  • Yeah I saw it when creating website conversion newsfeed ads only. (had to uncheck right side).
  • Is it possible that many campaigns are closed, if only a little is inspired by a brand?

For example football. Since there are shirts, where only the name of the place it + a football player. Green Bay + footballer = closed. Seattle + a Seahawk + = closed.

I can understand that rights must be protected, but here it is exaggerated, right?
    • [1] reply

    • It doesn't matter how many like you have on your page.

99% of the people clicking your ad aren't going to be looking for how many likes you have, they're going to be clicking the link to see what the shirt is all about.

I've listened to a dozen or more videos and would like an actual trustworthy person who is able to analyze my shirt designs and show me just what to do to place ads that will convert.

If you know of anyone or you, yourself can do this, I will request my refund from two or three of the programs I recently joined and would pay someone to mentor me.

What I also wonder, if people are so successful with this, why don't they offer their services and take a percentage of the successful campaigns? That shows me they are confident in what they know how to do and are willing to guarantee results, too.
  • Hello all -
I'm running my first campaign and have had moderate success. (haven't lost money). On the last day I want to edit my ad to state last day or final 24 hours or some such. I haven't been able to figure this out in power editor. Do I just create a new ad in the ad group? Thanks for input and wish you all well.
  • How come some are still having success selling name shirt campaigns on Teespring? How do they do it? LOL
  • Anyone here taking advantage of Sunfrog? I find it more effective when I'm too busy since I don't have to sell my own design. I can simply choose designs of other people and add it to my collection. Please let me know your thoughts.
  • Are you guys still selling Hoodies at this point? I'm seeing a decline in sales for Hoodies. I was thinking if it's time to focus on selling Tshirts or tank tops now since the summer is already approaching.
  • Congrats!

Facebook really works with an interesting targeted peaple!
  • Have you ever tried promoting Teespring campaigns using Instagram?
  • Congrats! Damn my goal is to sell 10 shirts, but I'm little scared. When I'll launch my first campaign. Soon, soon in few days

    • Just launch your first campaign to get your feet wet! This is how you'll learn how Teespring and Facebook ads work.
  • Congrat and thank you for sharing. How much you spend on ads average per day?
    • [1] reply
    • I'm running different campaigns per day. I'm spending about $100 to $300 on Facebook ads per day.
  • Hey guys! Any spikes in your tank top sales yet? I'm planning to start selling tank tops along with tshirts since the summer is coming! Let me know your thoughts!

  • Congrats man! That's crazy number (Because I mostly have seen people failing with teespring while some of them have managed to yield crazy numbers like this!)

    • Thanks man! I started with failed campaigns as well, but I learned from my mistakes and continued to improve my campaigns.
  • Teespring is not as easy as people make it out to be...I would agree that proper targeting and finding that matching interested audience is key. Gotta test!
    • [1] reply
    • That is true! But compared to other ways to earn online (Clickbank, Online Jobs, etc.), the success rate in Teespring is much higher.
  • Hey guys! What niches are you working on now? I need new ideas/niches
  • Without facebook ad Teespring campaign is Zero.
Isn't any other loophole without fb ad? guys?
  • Congratulation.

    • Hi Guys,

Great post. I started with Teespring last week. I know that design and start campaign is not enough. I`m not really into FB stuff but begun to learn today whole Sunday. There is still a lot to do when I read your posts here. Normally I don`t like FB and I`m there only to write Happy Birthday to my friends but today I set up Fan Page for my Art Purposes (not just t-shirts). Can someone tell me exactly how FB Ads works. I`m quite tied financially at the moment and every cent/euro counts.
I design t-shirts myself on Photoshop.
I found a Campaign where a guy used Chinese characters, silhouette woman with kind of tiger under her and text, sold almost 1500 tees with his 50 target. How it comes? I also found that Teespring as someone mentioned here advertised him too.
I write Japanese and made t-shirts design with Chinese characters but not woman

Besides, should I make t-shirts about American pride? It looks like all AMERICA sales. Love America, Firefighters America, Nurses America, Rescue America! God Loves America etc. It wouldn`t go here in Europe these stuff.
      Thanks for any tips
  • How are you doing with Teespring guys? Any campaign ideas for the coming holidays?
  • The ugly Christmas sweater theme seems to be doing really well with people. I haven't tried any yet myself though.
  • Congrats man on your success . I could never sell t-shirts that good on facebook after spending some $$$ I left it .
  • Sky that's normal to have that happen in the beginning. I would say don't give up!
Get into some of the groups on facebook, just type in "teespring" into the search and see what groups come up. Join them and ask the questions where you're having problems with.
  • Hey guys! Happy New Year! I had great campaigns for the past holidays! Any tshirt campaign ideas now that the holiday season is over?

    • Yeah, targeting sports team and special occasions (e.g. mother's day). Just be careful not to commit any copyright violations when doing sports team campaigns. I had several sports team campaigns taken down due to copyright violations... LOL
