facebook Ads vs. Promoted Posts

I personally found promoted posts more effective for my needs, but I guess it really depends on what kind of promotion you do. What are your experiences?

I've used both heavily...really depends on the campaign. Either way, both are some of the best and cheapest traffic I've seen in years!

By cheap, I mean highest ROI

I've always stuck with ads personally. Not really a fan page type of person.

Like you kind of mentioned already, it all depends on your needs. Ads work great for a wider array of objectives but promoted posts can really assist in getting attention on something specific.

As always, testing can go a long way!

I never try the Promoted Posts method. I usually use Facebook ads. I am satisfied with the FB ads for the entire cost and also CTR.

However, I will try the Promoted Posts on FB.

For my needs (I run an eCommerce Facebook store with my wife), FB ads outperform Promoted Posts.

With FB ads, we're seeing ROI of 500% upwards (and we get the ROI on the very same day, i.e. for e.g. if we set a budget of $5 a day, we get sales on the very same day that more than covers that daily budget), engagement shoots through the roof (of course), and growth of our fan base is a welcome side effect.

It really depends on your goals. Both are quite useful.
