Is PPC a better technique to learn first for paid traffic, or is PPV?

or which source of paid traffic is recommended. good for the long run and low risk (If there is a low risk in any type of paid traffic).

I would go for PPV because there are no rules and restrictions like we have in PPC.
There is no traffic source with low risk, the results really depends on how effectively you manage your campaigns.

If you want higher quality traffic, then you choose PPC. Because PPC is based on targeted keywords.

I would learn and master PPC first (specifically search engine PPC). Because first tier search engine traffic is very high quality and the most targeted traffic you could possibly get on the internet.

The downside to PPC is it can be very expensive, especially in the beginning when you're testing ads and keywords. The other downside is Google for example will "slap you hard". Just one ad that doesn't meet their editorial guidelines can cause your entire account to be suspended. And it's a long boring process to get unsuspended.

I would recommend Bing/Yahoo search PPC as a place to start. They are far less restrictive than Google. If an ad doesn't meet the guidelines, they simply disapprove the ad, and you can resubmit the ad for re-approval. You're entire account will never be suspended or banned unless you are promoting something illegal.

And there's also many other 2nd tier PPC networks such as Looksmart, 7Search, Adknowledge etc that you can also consider.

PPV is also great, less expensive and a lot less restrictive than most PPC networks. But I'll be honest in saying that it does take a lot more testing to find profitable PPV campaigns. I would explain, but I'll save that for another subject.

If you're looking to get into PPV, go for the best PPV networks. TrafficVance and LeadImpact are the best PPV networks in my opinion. There's also some other great PPV networks, but these two are the biggest and best out there. And the fact that it's $1,000 deposit to initially open an account (which funds your traffic), a great percentage of your competition is eliminated.

But I would personally recommend diving into PPC first. Just be sure to test small and only scale what's working, because you can lose a lot of money fast if you're not careful. Then definitely by all means learn PPV at some point.

PPC would bring the highest possible traffic. PPV can also be good, but you will need some further adjustments to your websites in order to make sure you collect quality data.

PPV is great for beginners because the ad approvals are easiest.

This way you can spend the most time on learning to advertise, and less time on learning to get things approved lol It is the honest truth.

    My vote goes to PPV.

I prefer PPC because you only pay for clicks rather than views. Also you get the chance to write custom ads. The reason I make money is because my ads are very targeted and typically better than my competition. Would be happy to help you get started.

It really depends on your offer, I have used both and both are great ppv target long tailed website eg your business is work from home you wouldn't target workfromhome.com it would be workfromhome.com/howimade6kaday just google what your targeting and copy exact link you can spend a fortune targeting keywords and no conversion

Both are good. Do you have any ideas on the offers or niches you want to promote?

What do you mean by 'PPC'? Which traffic source? You probably won't be able to run any of those niches on AdWords and Bing is going to be low traffic. I would go for PPV too.

Those will work PPV, try using two landing pages for these CPS product. 1 to get attention and another to pitch the product.

        Also test building a list.

Personally I wouldn't recommend PPV to most newbies because it is the most disruptive of disruptive advertising techniques. Which means you really have to be ballsy and aggressive in your marketing approach. In my experience, most newbies have trouble knowing how to pull off highly-aggressive advertising effectively as it takes a strong understanding of marketing (most importantly, how and what to test and track) and a strong stomach for being pushy and manipulative on a base level.

And if you're not being extremely aggressive and touching the precise emotional pain points needed, you'll find that PPV gets very expensive very quickly (for instance, Leadimpact has a minimum $15 CPM). People instinctively go for that red x as soon as they get a popup if they've had the adware for any length of time. Of course, direct linking can work well too but that requires very precise tracking and a big testing budget.

Most people actually find it easier to start with soft-sell marketing when they begin, as aggressive marketing can feel very distasteful until you get into the swing of things. At least that's what I have seen.

As we said. PPC is good one but if you are new it's a whole new level to keeping everything "tidy" PPV doesn't have that. Hell you can even direct link on PPV

    Thanks,

No Doubt PPV. PPV network loves affiliates. Big PPC ad network Google and Facebook hates affiliates and also if you try to launch a affiliate campaign your ad will disapproved .

    My exp:

I initially made money on PPC, then I moved my winning campaigns to PPV.

I would stick to PPC (especially Adwords) - the traffic quality is always excellent and Google is a listed company ... they are here for the long run. PPC is just a better business model. Granted, it is competitive ... but wherever there's competition, there's money to be made.

You just need to find the right products to promote and usually do a direct deal with a merchant rather than going through your networks. This will allow you to bid higher and outbid the competition, resulting in you getting more market-share and higher profits

Any questions just hit me up,
