I use adsense on my Youtube video, it is not viral so I only make a small amount per month. With traffic there are many various ways to get traffic to any site, blog or forum.

If you search on this forum you will find threads that can give you some ideas about where to get traffic. Hope this helps.

I don't use Adsense to monetize any of my websites. Mostly because the type of websites I create can be monetized better using other methods. I focus on creating products and training that help people in the niches that I operate in. I have had the best results using this method opposed to monetizing with advertisements.

With that being said, Adsense works for a lot of people. A lot of people have success with it, it really depends on you and how you want to approach it. I find much more value in creating training that helps people and choose to use that as a monetization method for that reason.

Now, this obviously doesn't work in every niche. If you have a website that focuses on trending or viral topics you cant create training products to monetize it. If I was operating in niches like this I would be more keen to using advertisements like Adsense to monetize my websites.

As far as traffic is concerned... that is a big one. There are so many ways to do it. It really depends on who you are marketing to. For example: If you are targeting people in the DIY/Crafting niche you would probably have good results driving traffic from Pinterest. The best advice I can give you here is find where your audience hangs out and give them valuable information they are looking for. This is how you get traffic, and targeted traffic for that matter.

One final note about traffic, if you have a converting website you can pay for traffic . Note: This may not work so well if Adsense is your way of monetizing your website.

I have never been a fan of adsense. Think most I ever made was like $100 some month.

As mentioned, there are better ways to monterize.

I am not a fan of adsense because you have no control over the ads, besides the colors. So you get what G serves. Also, the click thru's are usually horrible, which is lost potential sales. Why take 2% click thru when you can put up your own banners and get 10% or more. Plus you could get paid dollars instead of pennies.

Course, I am sure there are some folks make good on adsense. Just never worth it for me.

Most of the time a better form of monetization can be used on a money site. Adsense is good for a youtube channel, and as extra income. I also do not think it should be used as a main money source because of all the random account closings as well. Just a supplemental type income.

I set up a blog on Blogger.com a few years ago and hooked it up with Adsense. I have earned just over $10 since then, but to be fair, I don't really update my blog anymore.

I've focused more on affiliate links, which have earned me a bit more than Adsense.

From what I've read, Adsense doesn't randomly close accounts. It closes people's accounts if they violate their terms and conditions (which are fairly complicated). Stick to the rules and you should be fine

If you want to make the most money with adsense, I would set up a pay per click campaign and get 100-300 clicks per day to your website.

      Hey!
I gave up on adsense completely. Was into it for a couple years, barely scraping by, keeping up with the roll outs and updates and the whole Zoology thing messed me up big time.. Was tiring. Too much work and not enough to show for it. But once i started to get back into it ranking wise my ads went to cra* Displaying untargeted nonsense and I could do nothing about that. Got fed up completely just keeping up to date with all the changes constantly. Either way you look at it, niche sites are a gamble. Organic traffic is such a roller coaster so I would suggest other means. Media buys is still ok with TOS (I think) so go with that.

I talked to a writing customer yesterday that has been making money with Adsense for 7 years using Blogger blogs and only one problem in that time he cleared up with Google with one phone call. Not sure how many total blogs he has.

He just adds one good article per week of about 300 words for fresh content and then buys ppc traffic. He used to use Adwords, but lately he has been using Facebook Ads to get his traffic. Results in April, $22K check from Adsense, $5K spent on Facebook, $17K profit.

Anyone else see the irony in that. Buying Facebook traffic, sending it to a Blogger blog, and making money with Google Adsense clicks. It just goes to show how many different ways there are to make money online and Adsense can be a good one.

5k for ad on facebook also need a "gamble"
If you mention he can do it ..
this means he has find the " target audience"

because sometime we can't confirm people will click those ads beside on facebook..
          even I rarely ..will click

In his case he is running multiple ad campaigns on Facebook. No gamble for him when he makes $22k and spends $5K. That wasn't the point though. The point was he is making that much money every month with Google Adsense on Blogger blogs. Not just that one month, he actually has a history of several years making money with Google Adsense.

This is so true, people are still making tons with Adsense everyday by being creative. It's not as easy as 2006 when you could buy a turnkey 10.000 page website off of Ebay, keyword stuff, and add tons of invisible content on your page. But, people are still making decent coin from Adsense.

I only use adsense on my YouTube channel not my blog. I simply don't get enough traffic per day(500 visitors) to make decent money with adsense.

A very catchy ad getting a high CTR on Facebook, which drastically reduces his CPC, combine that with articles focused on some of the higher paying Adsense keywords, and yes...I can see those results being possible.

Yes, and it just shows people are still making money with Adsense. I see Adsense knocked all of the time. Not sure I would do paid ads to a Google Blogspot blog for Adsense, but it is obviously one way to make money when done correctly.

    I like Adsense a lot.

There's a reason many of the highest traffic sites use it.

In some niches it's the best option, often niches that do well with social media. For other niches, it's a terrible option in relation to other monetization methods.

Generally you need a lot of traffic to earn good money, but if you're in a good social niche, traffic isn't hard.

Also, it's not Adsense or bust. I use it with many other monetization methods including list building. It's just another source of revenue.
