If i want to promote clickbank product via ppv, how do i track the sales/conversions? If i can't track the sales and conversions it doesn't make sense to drive limitless traffic, because then i wouldn't be able to optimize my campaigns.

Hey

I would suggest adding a tracking ID to the end of your link so that you don't get it mixed up with your other campaigns.

Also, when you start your campaign, maybe watch it closely until you've spent maybe $10-$20 just for test traffic.

Then pause your campaign and track your ROI. If your in profit, scale it.

That's just my input though.

I agreed with Josh Mayers, adding tracking id to your link will help you out.

  Tracking would help and one of the tools I always recommend is hypertracker. I am sure there free ones just cannot think of them at the moment.

My question is how do I track the sales if I have thousands of urls and not knowing which one of the url actually gave me a sale?

  You can make one clickbank link, and then just change the tid number for each link you want to use on a different page or website. http://bob.fitness.hop.clickbank.net?tid=01
  
  If you already have a link, just ad this to the end, ?tid=01 and change the number for every link you make.
  
  Example
  http://bob.zthfitness.hop.clickbank.net?tid=01
  http://bob.zthfitness.hop.clickbank.net?tid=02
  http://bob.zthfitness.hop.clickbank.net?tid=03
  http://bob.zthfitness.hop.clickbank.net?tid=04
  http://bob.zthfitness.hop.clickbank.net?tid=05
  
  You Don't have to enter these links in clickbank.
  
  You only have to make one link in clickbank, and then just change the TID= number, on each link. You don't have to enter every link into clickbank, because they don't care what your tracking code is. They only care about this:
  http://bob.fitness.hop.clickbank.net
  
  But your tracking codes will show up in your clickbank sales data. http://bob.zthfitness.hop.clickbank.net?tid=01
  
  Just keep a log of your tracking codes, and where you put them, for your own reference.

Use the tracking ID or more commonly know in CPA as sub-ids. Also a using tracking software like Prosper202 or CPVLab can help a lot with this. You should take a second and look into them.

  In another thread, I posted a notice that in today's release, we've added the ability for clients to add tracking/retargeting pixels to the order form and confirmation pages. Now, you can setup different URLs and also identify any parameters you'd like tacked on to those URLs for integrating other conversion tracking tools.
  
  This should help ease some of the tracking burden that clients experience with hundreds or thousands of URLs and tracking IDs. Now you can more easily integrate external campaign tracking tools that rely on tracking pixels with our platform. This is the thread to which I referred: Tracking Affiliate Links.
