It doesn't really matter, James, because you probably won't make (m)any sales that way. If it were that easy, why would the vendors need to be paying affiliates something like 50-75% of the takings, for providing the traffic?

Besides, it makes little sense to pay for traffic and not even try to retain any of it, surely?

That's like running the bath without putting the plug in the hole first: you're losing almost everything as you go.

      Hi,

As long as the landing page has what yahoo/bing/msn wants: privacy policy, contact, they will accept it.

But I would highly recommend you cloak the page or use your own private shortener so you can track the number of click throughs.

Gone are the days where you could simply direct link to a Clickbank offer and make decent money with PPC. There are two reasons for this in my opinion. 1. Google (where you could get a lot of traffic at the right price) PPC doesn't allow affiliate links to Clickbank products - 2. The price of other traffic sources are too high for direct linking to make sense (to most Clickbank offers)

You'd be better off driving traffic to some type of email capture page. Giving them some value, and then - within your email sequence - showing them the offer "many" times. **Each time giving them a different reason why its such a great offer from them at this time**

You'll get more value for your traffic if you do it that way, instead of using an all or nothing proposition.

Hope that helps in some way.

Just to put things in another perspective.

If you do what you are trying to do, you will never be able to sell to that customer anymore.
Your investment for that reader is gone the moment you send them to someone else's list.

If you have a landing page with optin for example, you will be able to get their email and
send them future updates. The customer is then for yours to keep.

Are you sure you want to buy traffic and send leads to someone else for free?

I think that you use to be able to, but not anymore. BING is clamping down now. Hey, you would think that they wanna make some money. Well, I was wrong. Hard to understand micro soft these days, but they are talking about improving your user experience. Like can some one tell me what that means...

In this context, it means "not being sent to a sales page when you click on an ad."

It's all about the end-user experience. Search engines make their money because they have a ton of traffic. If they consistently send that traffic to landing pages that offer little of value from the end-user's perspective, their users will head for greener pastures. They do want to make money...That's why they're restricting the sites they send their users to.

I don't see you making alot of money (if any) with this method. Gotta put in some work if you want to convert people to buy. Sounds like you're in a rush though. Follow the simple steps: generate leads, email them, and then lead them to affiliate link.

I think a lot of people mistake making money online as an "easy escape" to make money quick.

Its actually a lot of hard work.

You can send the traffic directly, but you lose the chance of building a list.

There is no way for you to follow up and all your paid advertising will go to waste.

    Hi James,

To answer your question, yes you can. You can also send them straight to CPA offers.

However, like others have suggested, would be great to employ a longer term strategy and build a targeted responsive list.

Most of ad programs not allow affiliate links but i do not know about Bing and Yahoo. Its better to send traffic to your own landing page.

Back in the early 2000's this method used to work very well, but not anymore. I made a lot of money back then advertising on adwords and sending people direct to the clickbank page, and despite what others will say a lot of people did buy, I made in the 5 figures doing this. But over time clicks became much more expensive and eventually adwords stopped allowing direct linking. I believe you can direct link on bing but the cost of clicks is too high to make it very profitable.

You need to build a list by getting people to opt into squeeze page as rarely do people actually buy from you the first time.

Like many have said before. it does not matter if they allow it or not.

It's a waste of money to do it. Less than 1% will buy on the first visit to the site you are promoting and you are losing that traffic for ever.

If you want to make money from a clickbank product...You can make a squeeze page promoting the product and then redirect your optins to the sales page.

If you really want to make money promoting clickbank products then you need to really need to build a list.

Sending cold paid traffic to a sales page is the fastest way to go through you ad budget..with nothing to show for it.

Even if they allow now, they may change their policy a few days from now. You cannot predict anything in the online world these days. You may have a good campaign running in Bing which is proving profitable for you; you might sleep peacefully at night only to wake up the next morning to find that the campaign has been deactivated and you are no longer able to direct link to vendor pages!

So better stick with a long term strategy like driving traffic to your own squeeze pages first.

I don't see any reason why you cant send clicks directly to your clickbank offer. The question is are you willing to burn money? cause Im sure you know sending the clicks to your Squeeze page is the way to go.

    Good luck mate.

I don't know the rules of bing, but you can make money direct linking to clickbank offers. Maybe not as much as creating your own landing page, but you can make some sales.

We have done very well online with GOOGLE, BING Facebook, but you have to test your nuts off.

    1) Build a landing page or 3 of them, and test to see which one is the best optin rate.

    2) Ensure you get your keywords right, to the landing page with the keywords, and to make it all flow.

    3) Your ad, your ad copy should all flow into landing page ad copy, otherwise it will fail to get optins.

That is how we do it, to run a five FIGURE a month business.

** NEVER EVER EVER DIRECT LINK to offers? WHY? its simple, it will cost you to get them back to your page. With an optin, they will stay with you till they die or either unsubscriber. You can keep sending them offers again and again.
