Is this how Advertisers are stilling Affiliates commission?

Whenever I'm considering becoming an affiliate for an advertiser, I will look at their website, landing page, or sales page and I am noticing that an opt-in popup form will appear. Is this a workaround for the Advertiser to keep an affiliate from getting commissions?

  • well yes it is if he doesn't buy that time the advertiser doesn't want to lose any of the traffic to the site however if the advertiser is using infusionsoft then it is ok because you have a life time cookies meaning even if he buys after a year you get the commission

It's always wise to check an advertiser's landing page (specifically the landing page you are given) before wasting your dollars running traffic to it.

I would strongly advise against promoting offers that have entry and exit pop up forms. Because 90% of the time the leads they gain from it aren't tracked to your affiliate link.

But in some cases, leads can still be tracked to you with entry and exit pops. Most "good" CPA networks ensure that advertisers pop up and exit pop forms remain tracked to affiliate.

The best thing for you to do is test opting in with the link you are given and see if your affiliate ID and hash appears in the address bar of your browser after opting in. If not, I would not promote it.
