How many of you still utilize Google PPC Adwords?

Just curious.

Are there any of you that ONLY advertise via Adwords? What has made you stay with it? Has it gotten harder over the years to keep afloat? Have you noticed a drastic increase in bid numbers for your same niche for no apparent reason?

Anyone get banned from using adwords or no apparent reason?

Any NEW positives that did no exist say 5 years ago?

I am not interested in Facebook PPC, only Adwords and marketers that use it as their main marketing stream.

Thanks

I dont ONLY use AdWords.... but I do use it, to the tune of about 15 grand a month.

Why are you ONLY interested in AdWords and not FB, etc?

I did 46K in sales on FB PPC last month for various things.

Not bragging but trying to make the point that if you're ONLY using one advertising medium, that's a dangerious place to be.

Not only would you be completely at the whim of that medium by having "all your eggs in that basket".... you're leaving (potentially) tens of thousands of dollars on the table.

Have I ever been BANNED from AdWords?

Thankfully, no. But, I have sure done some stupid stuff back in the day that SHOULD have gotten me banned lol! I'm lucky I guess.

    Know what though?

If I did get banned, I wouldn't be too sad.

    Know why?

At any given time, I have traffic coming from about a dozen sources, paid as well as free.

If I lost my AdWords, I'd try to get if back but at the end of the day, it would make little more than a small dent in over all income. On the other hand, losing AdWords if that were my ONLY TRAFFIC SOURCE..... would be disasterious.

I implore you, and anyone else...... diversify your traffic.

A great point, and one that's really worth taking note of.

      Hi,

Thanks for your detailed response. I KNOW very well to diversify my traffic and my income streams. I also know FB ads are VERY profitable as well. I was just specifically asking about adwords and if he system has changed much since five years ago.

Have you noticed SIGNIFICANT changes? If so - what are the most noticeable ones?

Adwords now bans CPA campaigns if not above and beyond their standards. This can make things harder.

More people are now using Adwords in general, so more competition as the world has gotten more internet savy.

But Adwords & Facebook are still the largest two traffic sources online, and Adwords tends to be higher quality since the visitors are seeking out you.
