advertising an outdoor niche?

Hi,

I was just wondering if anybody know of some good ways to advertise an outdoor forum which is based on bushcraft and craft makers. I don't know if anybody does any promoting of outdoor goods and services but I here there is a couple of specialised advertisers like secondmedia.com but never had a reply from them. Just seeing if anybody knows of others similar to it?

Also will be looking to work with outdoor bloggers and article writters that have a good following on twitter/facebook.

worldofbushcraft.com is the forum I have setup just 2 days ago.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

    What kind of budget do you have?

    Facebook could be great because of targeting options. Search PPC like Bing or Adwords likely could be to expensive. PPV seems like a bit of stretch, but traffic can be cheap. I like working with Bloggers the best.

    I would make sure you forum is quality, and offers something different than other forums in the niche.

    Or maybe even goes after a sub-niche... outdoors is massive. I would go after maybe something like Fishing specifically, just an idea Best of luck!

    You might be able to find some podcasts that are targeted at this market and get them to run ads to your site.
